    Bad luck with the masks, as said above I also run a sharpe blade around the masks to avoid it taking the paint off too.

    Shame about the canopy but these things are sent to try us. The replacement canopy will look the biz... Loving the look of this....

    Woohoo 5th one through the door.... I've built this kit..... Enjoyed every finger sticking minute!! One of my best I think and I'd do it again in a beat... I can't recall any issues along the way. I think the worst it got was blanking off the back of the nav's radio equipment as it can be visible through the canopy. Oo... one issue was some silvering on the decals.... (see the link below).

    You're very welcome, though I'd credit you with sending me off in that direction! You had better result with sprue soup than I. Mine seemed to have too many air bubbles... In the end I bought some pouring resin with the Omaryu (spelling?) I achieved some good results. I should probably do a wip....

    Double fun.... this gets better.. imdo do like the foil nose ring, very effective.

    I'm currently building that Airfix MK IV the cockpit has no detail so I'm currently scratch building the detail.... Great fun!

    I like the look of this one, I'll tag along. Like you I get frustrated with my builds that tend to drag on forever... It's nice to do a quick and easy build. Nice start.....

    I guess you're correct but all the same it still looks a bit intimidating! Nearly as bad as the stencils on a Phantom and Harrier... or could there be more?? Surely not!!!

    You have just pointed out why my wife avoids me when it's decal time.... (In my case) months of work can be ruined by decal disasters!!
