I'm pretty sure I had given them a mist of varnish to protect them. Al- 68 replies

Hi Tony I clearly need to copy & paste a lot more on the transfer images in Corel Draw to improve the colour density. Apologies for additional work that may have been caused. Cheers Al- 68 replies

I mastered 1/48 scale seated RAF Spitfire/Hurricane pilots and a pair of Luftwaffe Stuka crew all to fit the early Airfix 1/48th kits. They were manufactured and marketed by Airwaves (then a separate company producing my figures predominantly). Airwaves was subsequently bought by Ed Deeley (ED Models) (and etch detailing sets were added to the range) and then bought by Hannants. I made the figures in the late 1970's and are long out of production. However, they might crop up on ebay. Cheers Al

Great work Tony And very useful to see your cradle/jig "in action". Your 3D printed parts are superb. However, unfortunately my build using them will not be for a while (due to life and work interfering). Cheers Al- 68 replies

Ah, the instrument panel is already done! Lots of fun laminating two pieces of plastic and punching out instrument dials. (But there work has stopped for now) Cheers Al- 83 replies

Hi TeeELL I've only just alighted on your build. I posted on phat trev's "lost fuselage half thread" which has some photo's of my Woodcock (in bits). in my rebuild so far I've made a new instrument panel (adopting the principle that looking accurate is is the goal) I'll be finishing it as J8295 of 17 Squadron. I've also made transfers. The squadron markings, serials, and stencils are traced off the Grainger plans. These are printed on clear decal paper (so there's no white). My plan is to use roundels from the Modeldecal range. As the serial no. on the rudder has a white outline, I've printed the rudder strips (blue and red) with the serial no.. The rudder will need to be painted white before the transfer is applied. The transfers are specific to J8295, but I would be happy to share. I would also be keen in your 3D printed parts if you're interested in selling a set. Cheers Al- 83 replies

Great stuff! My top tip would be not to attempt painting detail: Base colour, highlight then a dark wash. Cheers Al

This is great news! Al Apologies for being AWOL for a while...life's complicated

Hi I’m sure the series of Vought interwar biplanes were produced as vacform kits by Esoteric (Naval Dockyard) in 1/72 scale. Whilst they’re Vacform they’re very good. Al

Unfortunately, I've rooted at the back of the garage and found just one very poor casting in 1/48 scale. (but a few 1/72 scale Sea Harrier deck crew). Sorry Al
