  1. The 332 crops up, because at least one one of them will wind up in the same POW camp as a couple guys from the 100th. The inclusion of the 332nd just like the title ‘Masters of the air’ is taken from one of the books the series is based on.
  2. Cheers! That’s a book I was not aware of. Well… one more for the Amazon tab.
  3. I was aware that that they did an O2U ( I may have one in the stash, but it’s in a box so badly buried at the moment I haven’t been able to dig it out yet) but they don’t appear, at least from my searching to have done it’s predecessor the UO-1 and I’ve seen the SBU on scale mates but I’ve had an alert set up on fleabay for 10 years without ever seeing one pop up. Thanks very much for these!
  4. Funnily enough, I am seriously considering picking one of these up in large part because it has such a mini Jag look to it.
  5. Thank you for the link! It may not help with the plans but it certainly gives a very good idea for markings should I manage to put one together.
  6. Thank you! I actually got the same recommendation in another forum as well so I’ll definitely be picking it up, I’ve found it on Amazon $25ish so all in it could be a lot worse of a price.
  7. G’day all, I’m hoping someone out here in the community might have some idea where any kind of scale drawings could be found and any other references for the vought SBU-1 and the Vought UO-1. I would like to take a shot at scratch building both of these guys in 1/72. As far as I can tell the UO-1 has never been kitted in any form at all and the only 1/72 SBU I am aware of is the old esoteric vac kit that I have been trying unsuccessfully to find for at least ten years now. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be extremely grateful.
  8. Great looking build! I have one of these guys in the stash but it’s unfortunately unlikely to ever get built as it’s lacking the transparencies.
  9. Probably the only way Sword could manage the proper bubble shape to the canopy.
  10. Had a B-2 come over my house at fairly low level a few hours ago in suburban Maryland.

  12. I actually doubt we'll see a -8 from sword, as these kits are almost certainly based on the hasegawa kit. I wouldn't be shocked to see a -6 though.
  13. w00t!!!!!! I've been hoping for this since the photo cougar came out.
  14. There was one used as a demonstrator for a navy trainer competition. I believe that's the same aircraft in the photo you linked. So, not truly a navy aircraft but one tested by them.
