  1. Thanks, I’m pleased with how this came out 👌
  2. First off the bench for 2026! Italeri Scania S class, KFS right hand drive, mid lift axle added to an extended chassis, Nordic Trucks Hubs all round, Nordic headlights and light on the roof, KFS etched tread plate covering the chassis, Hycote paint, KFS Alcoa style wheels, Dodgers Decals custom decals Real truck is painted in the retro livery and should be getting some pics of the model and the 1:1 together soon
  3. my wife has been given this to sell for her shop (heritage railway) but we think it’s a wages tag, but who is BOA? Is it BOAC? it’s metal and about 3cm across will be going on eBay but anyone got any information on its history, use or if BOA is the same as BOAC?
  4. You could alter the bonnet to give the look of a Guy or other bus, but the routemaster was an integral bus so no chassis, this gave a larger saloon with more height and space, the wheel base, window size and shape, etc will all be wrong. the closest would be a D9, I’ve looked at this and by altering the windows, and moving the front axle back, adding doors and many other alterations could give a good looking but still not correct model
  5. Next up, brought a toy from a car boot for 20p and it had a very good Mercedes Atego cab. The rest of the toy (a horse box) was battered so a look on the interwebs and I found an Aircraft tug using this cab, Kamag TowBear. mostly scratch built using plasticard and spares box bits Next 1:24 Aoshima, built after seeing a similar lorry on holiday won best in class for light commercial at Gaydon model show 👌 Finally, 1:24 Heller kit, a pig of a model to build. Another from my Black Country fleet, All decals done by DodgersDecals, he is in facebook if you look him up.
  6. Here is my line up from 2025, 1:24 highly modified Italeri kit, chassis, rear bogie, bodywork all scratch built with an EMEK excavator that’s been stripped and detailed as a load. Copied from a real truck photographed in Belgium some years 3rd place for best DAF at Gaydon truck model festival Aoshima 1:24 model, Cheffette is a fast food chain from Barbados 🇧🇧 Italeri 1:24 built as part of my Black Country haulage collection. Remember seeing this company as they had some smart Lorrie’s on Spuds Italeri Ford Transit for the anniversary of the transit display at Gaydon show, British Rail livery
  7. Darn, was going to watch you do it and steel your ideas as I want to do a rest cab with steel bumpers 😉
  8. Got a 3rd in the DAF class at Gaydon model truck festival 👍
  9. A cracking build and I’ll be watching, will you be converting the KFS into the earlier steel bumper and chopping the sleeper to a rest cab? Would be interested in seeing that done as it’s some chops I have planned 👌
  10. @Skodadriver brilliant thanks. I’ve had a look and can get the Holts easily, and obviously Revell is available widely. Time to go shopping 👍
  11. Hello. Im building a A330 but what grey paints should I use, what are close. Would prefer acrylic or Halfords/Hycote paints that are close. Looks like 2 different Greys on the wings also from my pic.
  12. Italeri DAF 95 extensively modified to copy a lorry I found pics of online. Kit chassis is lengthened, low suspension at the back is bits from the spare box, body scratch built from evergreen and plasticard. Load is the EMEK excavator detailed and re-painted. held down with working KFS chain binders. all nice and dirty as a working motor should be
  13. I brought a toy from a car boot sale a few years ago, it had a nice 1/24 scale Mercedes Atego truck cab, and that’s the only reason I brought it! this is a Kamag Towbear, they used the Mercedes cab for a while. wheels from KFS rest scratch built. BGI doesn’t have this in it’s airside fleet but it reminds me of holidays!
  14. A heller kit, built as park of my Black Country haulage collection. RJ Brooke’s from Willenhall, Heller 141 converted to a 111, Right had drive and the cab wheel arches where altered as the real lorry wasn’t a factory sleeper.
  15. Just finished this model. Really enjoyed building this it’s a quick build that goes together beautifully. livery is Caribbean Shade, I saw a Mitsubishi Canter in there colours while on holiday so a bit of modellers licence used here. A working lorry depicted with the dirt and detritus of a working truck.
