I have been looking at the available sad Jag kits, and have wondered if it is possible to use a Hasegawa F1 kit, and use RAF decals- would this be acceptable...?

I'd say that if you did that, but substituted a Jag kit for the F1, that'd probably be ok with da boys
palacefan Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 On yer Bike! This is why i love this site, GB good natured humour at its best.
Col. Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I'd say that if you did that, but substituted a Jag kit for the F1, that'd probably be ok with da boys Aye, that would work. Hence why it's called the JAG! GB Mental.
Gary West Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Hi Gary. Can you help? I have the Airfix GR.3, Hasegawa GR.1, Revell GR.1 and the Italeri T.2 ................. I was wondering if you could give me the colours I will need for my Jag's. Daz - if you aim for an RAF subject, you can produce all of the above in a few schemes - do you have one in mind?
Gary West Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I meant I was looking for interior colours, such as cockpit, wheel well bays etc. Interior cockpit is all Black Daz and the wheel bays are Medium Grey
Gary West Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Were the wheel bays ever Chromate on Jag's mate? did you mean Chromate Daz?
Gary West Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I thought I may have seen early Jag's with Chromate wheel bays, but then I could be wrong. Do you know what Daz I just had to go and check my own Jag build - you mean Yellow Chromate and yes you are right of course DER! Sorry for the blonde moment, the wheel bays are Chromate and it was the inside of the airbrake which I was thinking of, which is the same colour as the outside skin.

OK Gary You "know" the Jag is my favourite FrenchBritish jet- so it seems I am being invagled into building one by someone who shall remain nameless. I DO realise that you will supply forthwith, a complete list of all dangly- smelly resiny-foldy uppy- sticky onney- painty wainty bits for said most gorgeous jet that ever streaked across the prairie at zero feet. NOW- get to it lad- and don't stop until Essex floats across the channel and rejoins with France Edited September 29, 2007 by Mentalguru

Your wish is my command oh mental one - the scale would help? If you want to build a "proper" scale 1:48, then Airfix or Heller depending RAF or French. Essential add on's for that Dogs danglies Jaguar would be.... Paragon wing flaps Paragon bulged wheels Paragon After burner cans - included in this set are also correct chaf dispensers, and canon blisters which are ommited off of the kit Neomega cockpit Model Alliance - good selection of decals available. Finally me old mucker weapons - depends on your configuration, but LGB's and TAILD pods are all available as extra's. You better build one now, cos I know where you live

Personally, its probly a good idea if Mike puts you in charge of future group meets an airshows an the like So I like the sound of sticking all that on a Jag- Do you want to pay me by, cash, bankers draught, or Western Union money transfer. Alternatively , as you know where I live, you could just order it all from "The place of the yellow bag" and get it delivered direct to my door. Edited September 29, 2007 by Mentalguru
palacefan Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 thinking about it, if there are a load of 1:48 Airfix jags being built. would it be possible to make a list of resin flaps and wheels and stuff and get a discount for so many do you think, or will it be a logistical nightmare?
AnonymousAA72 Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Hi Gary.Can you help?
