Redboost Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 For this GB I'll be building Směr (ex-Heller) kit with PH Model conversion; I'm starting off with the general introduction of the kit and conversion parts.
Iain Ogilvie Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 (edited) Hmmm - now this looks like an interesting project! Was tempted to have a go in 1:32 - so will be following with interest... Iain Edited March 22, 2010 by 32SIG
Redboost Posted March 28, 2010 Author Posted March 28, 2010 Thanks chaps! Yes, there is lot of clean up to do, but this is only prelude to the surgery that's coming on... Anyway, I primed the resin parts and cut off the front part of radiator body, because the air bubbles completely destroyed its edges. This will be later on replaced with plasticards. Despite original thoughts I'm going to use Part etched set inteded for the Hasegawa MS-406. I seems that it can be very useable with only little modifications.
Redboost Posted April 4, 2010 Author Posted April 4, 2010 Eventually, I reworked the rear cockpit compartment and attached most of the etched fiddly bits. Now onto the painting...
Redboost Posted May 1, 2010 Author Posted May 1, 2010 Finally, some progress down here - filled the fuselage, cut out the flaps and the aperture for the radiator in the wing and added the wheel well inserts.
Mike Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 That resin looks a bit rough... you're doing a fine job so far though
Romeo Alpha Yankee Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 That interior is looking the business mate. Deacon Totally agree there, lovely detail!
