Jasonb13 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Hi all, I've been working on this for nearly a couple of months now, it's been a slow build as I'm not getting to the bench a lot. I saw the BoB scheme last year and really liked it, so I decided to give it a go. I went with the Revell kit and it's a good kit, though it is a little over-engineered and there was more flash and seam lines than I'm used to with a Revell Kit. For the decals, I found one company that had them (at the time, there might be more out there now) called Caracal. The decals look great on the sheet, but the carrier film is very thick, and won't respond to Micro-Sol at all. In some cases I literally had to scrape the carrier film away as it wouldn't conform to curves. The 'No Step' walkway lines on the wings are actually a mix of all the dotted lines you get on decal sheets to separate sections, as neither the Revell decals nor the Caracal decals had the right decal. The paint is brush painted as usual, with quite a lot of masking due to all the leading edge and control surface strips of grey. I'm pretty happy with it in the end, it's nice to see a classic scheme on a modern jet. Anyhow, here are the pics, they're not great sorry, but as always any comments and criticism are very welcome! Thanks... J. Kit: Revell Eurofighter Typhoon Scale: 1:72 Paint & Weathering: Brush painted with acrylics. Weathered with Flory Wash, Citadel Nuln Oil & Tamiya Weathering Kits Extras: Caracal Decals 12

Valkyrie Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 I'm relatively new or back to the hobby from a kid. This is one of the kits I hope to do and I'm a brush painter, it's cracking brush work and great model outstanding effort.
