Peter2
If you set the pages to Translate into English (or perhaps you read in French already), you will gain further insight into the thought processes involved in the artwork, as well as the personal history of the box top artist, Daniel Bechennec. I enjoyed his commentary on each image. One fascinating aspect lies in his art student days in the Nineteen Sixties, smoking cigarettes (which apparently was a compulsory student activity at that time, rather than being an anti-social crime). He also drank many cups of coffee in a cafe opposite his college, a pastime which avoided him getting needlessly bogged down in the reactionary educational system of attending college lectures (that's "my take on it" anyway). Very "Parisian student uprising", I feel. For those of you keen on the history of model box art, he has published a book. All in all, another reason to love the French people (leaving aside that questionably scented Blue Cheese). Bozothenutter
Love it when a forum member thinks the image of the D-9 is 'to orange' and reposts a 'corrected' image, only for the artist to mention offhandedly that it is set at sunset... The gall of some people!
