Old pro
16 hours ago, sardaukar said: Is that the humvee? Too many things to go wrong with those wheels, but at least they won't go sticky. Id love to show off my collection of Chinese tanks, but they are all still untouched in boxes. I'm intrigued to see how similar the 3 different boxings of the ZTZ-99A compare, its not a tank we see much of in the west. Although I think China use it at the tank biathlon which is worth checking out on youtube. A word of warning, the 3R/Bordermodels ZTZ99A is way over scale due to the fact that they used the wrong chassis on the tank (the longer chassis of the S Model kit version, which is correct) and tried to make the upper hull and turret fit, something I suspect the trumpeter kit has done as well. It’s even more confusing in that all three are called ZTZ99A, the S Model kit is an early version and correct, the Trumpeter and 3R are all later versions which used a different chassis with not so much spacing between the wheels. 1
sardaukar
the tank biathlon has some interesting schemes and yeah china uses the ztz-96b. Everyone else uses t-72 B3s supplied by the host Russia who wins every year, draw your own conclusions... I never realised you edit your original post on this thread so I missed a few updates, you put those tanks together quickly. I've had a peek in most of the boxes of my last order but not started anything. I'll try and post some sprue pics.

But has risk to break weak parts, or lose small parts before paint . let them out not represent to paint them right now, all subject to my mood . btw, my next order may arrive on Sat assemblied the HMMWV, the shape and details are not bad, but the tire really..., and overall QC is low. And then the weapons sprue below, the box and the instructions say you only get the DSHK however there looks to be a missile pod and mount as well as a towed multiple missile launcher. The kit only comes with 10 rubber wheels so you would probably need to sacrifice the truck spares to build the towed missile launcher or get some from else where. You could probably cast copies and use them for the spares.

Yg Models
i skipped middle-east set A is because i chose to buy this beautiful WWII AA-gun (orange hobby), its molding quality is up to vespid, takom level. maybe even better, won't have too narrow parts, and in reasonable price Edited August 21, 2022 by Yg Models
