Marklo
So file my Me109 GB attempt under epic fail instead of getting some of the sixteen finished I now have 16 90% to 95% finished 109s. So I shall document the end of this particular journey with this thread. The very nearly finished shelf, needing wheels, struts, antennae and maybe a few markings. The slightly less finished shelf. Needing a bit more paintwork decals and then all the bits like antennae and mass balances. The plan is to focus on one every day or so in chronological order while not getting too strung up on schedules, but still not have this become my second shelf of doom So first back on the bench is V1 which needs:- 1. tail markings 2. tail struts 3. a tail wheel 4. the gear doors painted 5. aileron mass balances attached more to follow Edited February 25, 2022 by Marklo

opus999
Looks like you've got some great paint schemes going there. I like the Swiss one with all the neutrality stripes. 16. That's quite a few to finish in a short span of time... I think I might have 16 total in the stash...

And I think I’ve also completed around 20 builds so far this year. Some large and complex like the Oertz and some small like the Typhoon. I did come relatively close within the GB, but yes it proved to be overly ambitious.

Marklo
The Swiss G6 is done and the Italian G2 is almost, if it weren’t for a decalling disaster. The Italian insignia were off register and disintegrated on me to boot. Still easy enough fix I’ll print off a set on clear decal paper. I reckon the Finnish and the Hungarian G6s next. Then the TL Jäger and probably the first of the Yougoslav G10s.

Marklo
After a lot more fiddling. Just the canopy and rf line on the Mersu and just the rf line and a missing star on the G10 Edited November 2, 2021 by Marklo

The three G6s were two italeri and the heller K which I think was the Swiss one. Edited November 3, 2021 by Marklo
Marklo
Actually now that I think if it I think the Heller is the Swiss one as it has the tall tail and the other two G6s don’t.
Marklo
The first Yugoslavian is finished. The Mersu also. The next batch the Israeli S199, Buchon and Hungarian G6. leaving just four more. Croatian G10, second Yugoslavian G10, Italian G6AS and Luftwaffe G14 All of which need a bit more paintwork.
Marklo
The Buchon is done. More pictures in the GB inspiration gallery.
Marklo
The Hungarian G6 and the Israeli S199. Undercarriage, tail wheels, exhausts, supercharger intakes, props and rf antennae fitted. So many small fiddly bits… Rudders painted for both. Yellow on the Hungarian red and white stripes on the Mezec. I’ve added cannon packs to the Avia replacing the barrels with fine bore brass tube. rf lines gear doors rudders and a little more paint and they’re done. I also but the bullet as me did a bit of mottling on the other four. Edited November 14, 2021 by Marklo
Marklo
Hungarian complete S199 too. That just leaves 4 the Second Yugoslavian, the Croatian, the Italian and the Luftwaffe G14.
Marklo
The final four along with (most of) the various bits left to assemble. As is always the way l’m missing a supercharger, one oleo, one tail wheel, a rudder ( although I’m sure I saw it yesterday) possibly a set of wing bulges and several gear doors, sigh. A lot of fiddly scratch building ahead. The also need a bit more paint and the Italian needs some decals made up. The Graham White and the AHRLAC are my main priorities, but these are a close third through to seventh More to follow….. Marklo
Undercarriages and exhausts attached. As is typical I’m three oleos short do two of the planes have replacements made from brass rod. Need to add wing bulges on three they’re all G6 style small bulges. Then rudders, tail wheels and superchargers, again I’m missing some of each so a little scratching will be needed.
