I'll have to build it wheels up though, lost the complete sprue for the main undercarriage. I do have the doors in the spare drawer though!

The VISTA combines the Big Mouth with an F-100. It wouldn't be an F-16 unless you can't count on absolute "If, ... then, .." rules of thumb, there are always exceptions. Serkan Sen
Thanks to Pascal's single post, this AFTI topic has turned out to VISTA topic 🙂 I decided to start a dedicated VISTA topic below and your all contributions and comments are warmly welcomed: Serkan Edited August 24, 2021 by Serkan Sen

I knew that it wasn’t a strict rule-of-thumb among F-16s.

This was a proposed F-16U variant to UAE formerly named as Block60 I guess: (image from f-16.net) The main differences between my build and above picture are: I have used old PM Block5 F-16A model I have added twin fins Maybe I should start a new topic for a new F-16U build 🤔 Serkan 2
Ex-FAAWAFU
Genuine question. When I was a serviceman, the F-16 was officially called the “Fighting Falcon”. Where did this “Viper” stuff come from?

Serkan Hi Serkan, it's magnificent this work in 3D. I like it 🙂 Does it take a long time to create an airplane? What do the different colors correspond to? Can the plane be cut into several parts for printing?

But I forgot to post the pictures 🙂 And here is the comparison of the real one versus model: Next step is to model spin recovery drag chute... I modified the PIRATE sensor from a Revell 1/72 Eurofighter to represent the "Falcon Eye" on my stalled in-progress CAS/BAI demonstrator. I haven't touched it in a very long time, however. The Falcon Knight sensors will probably just be built using some rod styrene for my planned AFTI CAS build. I think that the shapes will be a bit tricky, but within the realm of my skills. Cheers and happy modelling! Hoops

When I check the spine shape of 20 years ago built VISTA and AFTI (posted above) with the real ones I can make a long list of inaccuracies. But still I love them much... 🥰 Serkan
