dov
Hallo This is my next (after many) WNW kit. The Dh 9a is a quite big and powerful a/c. Well, I built so far quite straight from the box. Seatbelts are waiting for tomorrow. Nothing special. As you see, I lost one dial. It is replaced in meantime. Happy modelling
Marklo
Nice. I have a Roden 1:48 DH9a ( earmarked for IAC colours, when I get around to it) in the stash so will watch with interest.
bigbadbadge
Would have loved one of the WNW DH9s. Will havecto content myself with my Roden one instead too. Great start Chris
dov
Well, Roden is not so bad. Sugest you, use the WNW instructions to get more information. I also have Albatros I, III and Se.5 to build from Roden. It is a nice challange too. Happy modelling

At this stage I think I have everything that flew from 1914 through to 1918 in 1/48 in the stash let’s see a DH2, 4 and 9, Fokker EIII, DVII and DVIII, Neiuport 17 x 2, a SPAD XII, Sopwith Camel x 2, Snipe and Dolphin, Se5a, Roland CII and DIV, Junkers DI, Bristol Fighter, Pfalz DIII and DXII and more Albatri than you can shake a stick at (at least 5) to name but a few
dov
Hallo The WW1 a/c I built some in 1/48, one in 1/72. The development was driven by the ability for rigging. After the accurate rigging technique was established, I shifted to 1/32 from WNW and Roden. I learned to understand the actual rigging on an airplane and to modify it. This is the backbone. I do my eyelets with 0,13 thin copper wire, the rigging wire is a 0,13mm monofilament for fishing and the tubes from Albin-Aloys. This is the most expensive item. The author of WW1aircraftmodelling showed me this via web. The handling technique I had to learn. My favorite a/c are Dh.2 and FE.2b. As you can see on the forum. My WW1 stash is not so numerous as yours, since I built so much. Still ahead are: Albatros B.II Early version Wingnut 32046 Albatros D.I Roden 614 Albatros D.III Roden 606 Bristol Fighter Wingnut DH 2 Wingnut Gotha G.I Wingnut Halberstadt Wingnut Hansa-Brandenburg W.12 Wingnut 32036 S.E.5a 'Hisso' Wingnut RAF S.E.5a w /Hispano Suiza Roden RE.8 Wingnut Rumpler C.IV late version Wingnut The Friedrichshafen 33 from Luckgraph will come soon too. Marklo
That’s an impressive stash. Looking forward to seeing more of it get built. This is my WWI shelf so far ( not shown are my Junkers JI and Supermarine PB31, DH4a and two PV Kittens) Edited March 23, 2021 by Marklo
Sandbagger
Hi Marklo, That's a nice looking collection. I see you built the T.28 'Floh'. I built this in 1:32nd scale. http://igavh2.xara.hosting/#xl_xr_page_dfw t28 flea Strange aircraft and not a surprise it never went into production, Mike Edited March 24, 2021 by Sandbagger

dov
Hallo Here now I may confront you with nonsense and you may call it something else. A typical favor of WNW. For proper rigging they made usually 50% solutions. Not nil nor 100%. Therefore, you may look at the wonderful aileron actuator. The real thing I found in our forum. WNW omits such vital information. The pulleys for the elevator are also such plastic pigs. Some years ago, I discussed this matter with WNW, in vein. Well, so I try to make a model from such nonsense. The error in the instruction because of the engine, I had to correct with my knife anyway. So far, plastic work is done. The pulleys I may replace, I am not sure about. The actuator I will fix. Just the horizontal hole I can not change. Vertically the material is too thin! Well, we will see… Happy modelling
dov
So far. Sprayed nearly alll parts. Beside weapons and wheels. Lots to paint, and to work with oil after weekend. As I mentioned prior, the roundels are sprayed. Happy modelling
