Radpoe Spitfire
Hi folks, I've recently acquired a photo of the destroyer H55, HMS Hostile. I'd love to build a model of the ship if I can. Therefore, are there any kits of this ship, or any of the class that can be converted to the vessel please?
VMA131Marine
There was an Airfix 1/600 HMS Hotspur (H01) that is out of production but should be available on the second hand market (e.g. ebay). It was also supplied in the Airfix WWII Destroyers set along with Campbeltown, Cossack and the German Narvik-class destroyer. There appears to be a clone of this kit available as HMS Hero (H99) from Misterkit. There is a 1/500 FROG kit of HMS Hero that has been reboxed under the Mastercraft label as HMS Harvester. Then there is a 1/700 kit of HMS Harvester from Niko Model but I'm not sure if this was ever released since Scalemates still shows its status as "Future" Edited July 24, 2017 by VMA131Marine
dfqweofekwpeweiop4
What scale did you want? In 1/700 you can get Hero, Harvester and Hardy, I bet they are vastly superior to the old 1/600 kits. They are by Niko and are resin kits but Niko kits are usually quite good. thanks Mike
John
Didn't FROG do an H-class in their 1/500 range? John

davepb
At 1/350, Atlantic Models ATK 35058 HMS Hesperus 'H' Class Destroyer is a good choice. Link here http://atlanticmodels.net/white ensign range kits/index.html
Radpoe Spitfire
Thank you all for your replies, I'm not fussy on the scale, but the Airfix and Frog/Novo options are more cost effective for what I've got in mind than resin kits. Shall be keeping my eyes peeled on the not too distant future.🖒 Kind regards, Adrian
