  1. The tub looks excellent, I thought my plasticard effort for an Airfix Hunter was looking good until I saw these!
  2. I had a look through the book and the only photograph showing the carb setup is obscured by the wire stone guard. Which side of the firewall do you need pictures of?
  3. Looking forward to seeing your next update!
  4. My Dads got a book on the 4.5 blower, I'll have look if there are any detail photos of the carbs and supercharger set up. There are drawings the BDC Technical notes as well, I know there is one for the supercharger but I can't remember if it shows the carbs and their linkages. Next time I go to his house I will have a look.
  5. Beautiful Hunter, my all time favourite jet done to perfection!
  6. I love it, the way you have displayed it really brings it to life.
  7. It took me a while but I've just worked out what a 'lumpy jumper' is
  8. I look forward to watching this too, the fact that they are representations of aircraft you flew and the stories and photographs you have makes it even more interesting. Just makes me sad that I'm a bit too thick and old now to be a pilot in the RAF
  9. Other engines I've seen had hard lines as well. I'm assuming the rubber hose in the photograph isn't original fitment and may be used for something other than fuel pump.
  10. I'm wondering whether those hoses are vacuum lines. Does the 4.5 use an autovac fuel pump?
  11. The painting on the tail is so good. You have done a lovely job to get it so sharp. Look forward to seeing more as you progress. Tom
  12. This looks ace Rob, I love your work on the intakes. I might have to have a go at making a set for the 1/200 scale Dragon B2 that I have sat in my 'to do' pile.
  13. No worries Kirk. I love old cars and Bentleys in particular
  14. On the 3 litre the Dynamo is driven off the end off the camshaft via a fabric/rubber coupling. When it is turned on it also acts as a damper for the camshaft. The 4.5 may well use the same setup. Cheers
  15. Beautiful work Roy, from what you started with to what you have now is amazing.
  16. Lovely little Hunter, I'm building one of these at the moment. I'm having a go at scratch building a cockpit for it as the kit one is a bit basic.
  17. Maybe have a look at General Discussion - Chat?
  18. You might want to try putting this in a different section?
  19. Ditto what Roy said above. Your work is stunning.
  20. Very nice Vampire, is this the same kit as the Revell FB5? If it is its a lovely little kit to build.
  21. I only have some knowledge of the 3 litre so please don't quote me on this but it is my understanding that the shiny bits are nickel plated. And the radiator shell on the 3 is made from German Silver. Ian, I think your model is exceptional and all the extra detail and effort you have put in really bring it to life. Without these added details I think the model is quite toy like in appearance.
