  1. Awesome idea for a collection! I somehow always loved the power of imagination and the limitation of the real world which forced movie makers to take what they could get their hands on and just paint it in broadly realistic colors and markings Great looking Kingfisher-Rufe by the way!
  2. Gosh damnit...I have a 1/35th AH/MH-6 in my stash and a Black Hawk in 1/35th is not going to fit anywhere at my place. Maybe I'll get one of these and hope ICM releases some 1/48th Killer Eggs in the future?
  3. And you said my Zonda looks better...pff! Yours looks spectacular in that purple color!
  4. Yes, that's it - Fully Detailed Pagani Huayra...Under Glass. 28 pages of pure skill and dedication. I feel you. The doors and the rear bumper gave me so much headaches I put the Huayra aside for a while, too but decided to get it done simply because I didn't want to quit so close to the end Thanks, I bet yours is great. I'll have a look if you don't mind
  5. Thanks, much appreciated! I worked with a very detailed WIP thread, which described the various pitfalls of this kit but I can't find it anymore. When or rather if I find it, I'll post the link here.
  6. Thank you! I feel the pain, especially when everything was working fine while dry fitting and then somewhere something was probably misaligned slightly when finally got fixed in place. Annoying but so it goes I think I knew that...looking at your profile picture Thanks a lot! Thank you! I tried with oils but I definitely have to practice with them
  7. Good day everyone. following the Pagani Zonda I built a while ago I also picked up an Aoshima Pagani Huayra at my local hobby store shortly after and finally managed to finish it. The Huayra is the successor to the Zonda and it also is one of my favorite cars ever made, with the same attention to details as Horacio Pagani's first creation. The kit unfortunately is not as good as the Zonda. The details are great, the proportions are great - Aoshima really nailed the very complex shape of the Huayra! The fitment is where it all goes wrong. The Zonda kit is very precise, this one is quite vague in some areas. It was fun to build the separate components like the engine or the front suspension but fitting it all to the floor and some of the bodywork felt like a chore and only thanks to walkthrough builds of other fellow modelers, bigger mistakes were avoided. Still, I had to glue the gullwing doors in place and cut the hinges to make the upper panel fit. That was quite disappointing because the beautiful cockpit disappears for the most part. All the trouble aside - I'm quite pleased with the end result, apart from one green smudge on the front splitter I only noticed on the photos and now I can't unsee it The Huayra was mostly painted with Tamiya cans - Light Grey Primer, Candy Lime Green to replicate Lamborghini's iconic Verde Ithaca and Gloss Black "carbon" parts. The smaller parts were done with brush, Vallejo und Revell acrylics. P.S. I know I forgot to dust it off! Thanks for watching!
  8. The sensory array is also the wrong way round. The FLIR should be on the left side and the TV system on the right...and not upside down. Either someone wasn't paying attention building it or it really is some Stranger Things type of Apache.
  9. I've always been jealous of people who have the patience and skill to build vacu kits. It looks more like self-flagellation than a relaxed hobby But that just makes me even more curious about the end result and the building process is definitely something else! I tip my hat to you, Sir!
  10. Ok I expected this to become the next running gag of the modeling world but blow me down...here it is finally 😍 Can't wait! Awesome they include an Op Granby aircraft from the get-go, too!
  11. Beautiful! All the work and effort was absolutely worth it.
  12. And I don't care about that To each their own Oh...neat! Thanks for that one...I still need a Christmas gift for myself
  13. Huh...shows what I know Totally missed that but in 1/35th is a bit too rich for my blood. Maybe just maybe it will be scaled down to 1/48th and then I'm a very happy guy
  14. Oh wow...a Triebflügel! That's one of my favorite "Luft 46" projects. Adding it to my wish list now!
  15. Neat! Back in the day I built the 1/48 scale IDF version equipped with TOWs and I still have the KH AH-6J in 1/35 in my stash. Would love to see all the MD500's, from early OH6 Cayuse to the latest AH/MH-6M "Killer Egg" variants from (if it really is) Academy.
  16. I still hope to see a modern Airfix Jag in 72 and 48 but I'm getting the gut feeling that this is one particular curveball that's not going to happen. I hope my gut is wrong. The Gazelle is another topic I'm sad about being neglected.
  17. This is fantastic news! The flaps alone are a huge reason for me to get this kit. Keeping an eye on this
  18. Got mine yesterday. Missed the first batch at Modellbau Koenig but got lucky this time. First look on the kit is a positive one, what really grinds my gear, though, and I've seen this a few times now - the weapon loadout from the box art is not possible because the Ataka ATGMs are not included. Pity but what do we have 3D printers for?
  19. There are bananas taped to a drywall and it's called art for some reason and then there is this. Your models should be displayed in galleries and museums all over the world just to appreciate the sheer amount of handiwork and the true art of craftmanship. Magnificent!
  20. I know the difference, my question is - is there anything in the pipeline by LITAKI? "Plans" as "planned release" not plans as technical drawings
  21. Looks awesome so far! Any plans for the Tu-22M3 or the original Tu-22?
  22. Alright...this looks amazing and like a very satisfying build. BTW: Modellbau Koenig has it on pre-order with an estimated early/mid June arrival. Price - 47,50€ plus shipping. Can't wait!
  23. Thanks guys! 🙂
  24. Yeah I think so, too. Makes it even more eye-catchy Thank you! Thanks! Right now it's displayed under a glass table where our customers take a seat. I'm fine with that
