  1. Amazing what a bit of colour does! Looking good. On the overspray yes I would imagine the nose can get sanded off. On the louvers is it worth trying scraping it of gently with a needle? Nick
  2. Stunning colour and paint job! 👏👏 Nick
  3. I agree. Think we've squeezed the life out of those jokes
  4. Darn you just pipped me to that one...
  5. Thanks Andy! I don't deserve the praise!😊 The bits in colour are just what the instructions say to do! All the carbon fibre work was done over the Summer as I needed to semigloss it. So it's all ready to glue on. Nick
  6. Morning all Interior done. Not much to say really. If you look really hard you can see a few non-black colours! 😄 I left the door cards off for the above to help visibility. They are on below. Next up is starting work on the body. This will include adding all the carbon fibre parts onto it so I'll soon get a good idea of what it will look like finished... Thanks for looking, Nick
  7. I don't know what it is about tree sap flavoured water but every year within 5 minutes of the tree being put up and watered...
  8. Wow that is looking splendid! Looking forward to seeing the whole harness finished. Nick
  9. Cheers Andy Have to admit it's going to be a challenge making the interior look interesting whilst keeping the black theme going... All parts going into the interior do far have all been done in semigloss black!😄 Nick
  10. Thanks gents! Very good Keith! 😄. Interesting fact when the ford T first came out black was not one of the available colours... Nick
  11. Morning all Now that the E type is finished it's back to the Mustang. I have to admit that when I picked it up again I thought: this is just going to be another 50 shades of black! As you can see given the overall look I want for the car I did not want to keep to the original colour call out so no white, metallic blue, titanium gold or silver on the underneath of the chassis. It's all black, aluminium, steel and a splash of silver! 😄 Here's the rear suspension and brake discs done And the front done as well. Keeping with the dark theme the break calipers are gloss black. It does mean the red decal is not as obvious it could be... And the wheels on as well. Semigloss black with the wheel nuts picked out in gloss black I know. It really pops!😄 I was a bit concerned that it would look drab when completed but I did pop the body on and I think I'll have the effect I was looking for especially once the carbon fibre trim bits are on. Onto the interior next. I'm not going to have as much fun with this one as it's going to be, yes you've guessed it, all black! Thanks for looking, Nick
  12. Thank you for the kind comments !🤗 Glad you like my pair... of cars...😋 Nick
  13. This is where I got them from https://www.umpretail.com/collections/micro-mesh-abrasives/products/micro-mesh-multi-pack-2-x-sheets-of-each-6-000-8-000-12-000-grit Hope this helps. Nick
  14. Great conversion on the dash. Like the red interior. What body colour are you going for? Nick
  15. Found the pics! This is what I started with And here you can see the various stages of sanding and polishing Nick
  16. I've had similar issues with glass. Start sanding with 2000grit and work your way up to 12000. Micromesh is really good as mentioned above. Then use polishing compounds ( I personally recommend the tamiya ones) to get back to clear plastic. Ive got a picture somewhere where you can see the various stages. I'll see if I can dig it out. Good luck! Nick
  17. I'll tag along if you don't mind. I have this kit in the stash! Looking forward to picking up some useful tips along the way! 😁 Nick
  18. Absolutely amazing finish on the paintwork! 😲 And I completely agree with Keith. That engine is a beauty! Nick
  19. Thank you all! You're too kind. I'm interested by the comments about the colour. Yes it is an unusual colour for an e type but they do exist! 🙂 Here's a photo of a real one courtesy of Hendon way motors. Nick
  20. Couldn't help yourself could you...🙄😋 There you are Spiny... Just for you... Oh and thanks very much for your comments.🙂😁 Always appreciated (yes I do mean that!). I hadn't even realised I'd only shown one side...🤗 Nick
  21. Thank you all for your very kind comments. 😊 Noel the wheels 3D file can be found here (thanks to @CrazyCrank for the link) Nick
  22. Morning all It's finished! Here's a taster. 😄 More pics in the RFI Cheers, Nick
  23. Morning all Finished! 🙂. Apart from the bonnet which does not close properly on both sides at once...☚ī¸ I'm happy with how it's come out. I didn't have too much time to take photos as I did it during my lunch break and didn't get any decent ones of the interior. Main colours used in this build were tamiya TS gun metal, greenstuffworld airbrush chrome for all chrome parts and my own mix for the interior tan colour. Oh yeah and the wheels are 3D printed. I did use the kit tyres though. I'll stop rambling... And as promised a couple with the baby one! And one last one with a black background under artificial lighting. Thanks for looking, Nick
