  1. Got 10+ Dassault airplanes in my stash, and won't build them all before 2022, So pen. Me. In.
  2. Hi Pat, are twins are on hold, as I have to finish the "Kid you build as a kid" entries before them. August is not looking good in terms of modelling time, but September should give me ample opportunity to finish the project.
  3. I am currently building the CAG bird, an A-4 Skyhawk of the va-164 and I am confused. the Revell kit I am building claims the aircraft had a bent IFR, while an the pictures on va-164.org clearly straight IFR can be seen. Which is correct? Maybe both are, maybe those are subsequent aircraft? When did Skyhawks receive the bent IFR anyway? I thought it was only with the A-4M model? the Skyhawk in question as shown on va-164.org The Skyhawk as depicted by Revell
  4. This is a friendly remainder that this GB proposal needs your tender loving support in order to flourish in 2021 or 2022.
  5. I am slightly ALARM-ed he is missing his SIDEARM.
  6. Just get on with it and quit SHRIKE-ing.
  7. Pen me in for the final spot - if you are willing to join my Intermarum GB hat is
  8. A couple of questions: France: Where would the AN.52 be carried on the Mirage III and Super Etendard, Centerline, or wing station. Germany; Did the German F-4 carry nuclear weapons? Which station are nuclear weapons mounted on on the Tornado IDS? UK Was the Gloster Javelin Nuclear capable? USA: Did/do any of these aircraft have nuclear capability: A-10, F-5, F-8, F-22 Where and how many special weapons are carried by the F-15A/C/E, The SuperHornet and the F-35. Why are there no standoff tactical nukes in the western arsenals apart from the french ASMP/ASMP-A?
  9. Part 4: China H-6K (TU-16 license) : internal bomb bay? India Mirage 2000H 1x Freefall bomb on centerline station SEPECAT Jaguar 1x Freefall bomb on centerline station Israel: F_15 (see USA) F-16 (see USA) Pakistan F-16 1xbomb on centerline(?) station Mirage III/V 1xbomb on centerline(?) station South Africa Possible carrier Aircraft (not confirmed) Canberra (see UK) Buccaneer (see UK) likely only 1 bomb in bomb bay due to small number of bombs produced.
  10. Yes, i saw that. I tried to take the vallejo mud brown for the first one, but this in turn is slightly too reddish. Which is why I now, as in right now boughy the vallejo sandy brown. Hopefully at least one of the Cobras will turn out alright.
  11. Thanks for all the input, I shall update the lists as I find new information so keep following if the subject is of interest to you. True, at one point I though it would be easier to compile a list of aircraft which were NOT nuclear capable. AFAIK, not in the meaning of NATO dual key (they would just execute soviet orders) but apparently Warsaw Pact pilots did train tactics of delivering nuclear weapons. Now this is interesting, although not unexpected. Do you have any more info on that?

  15. Update No. 2 I build the second machine as far as the first one. Today i will do some cockpit painting as well as start applying the camo to both machines. If things proceed as smooth as until now I should finish the machine by the weekend.
  16. Would this by chance be a B-43 or B-28 loaded onto an Super Sabre?
  17. Thanks @Jinxman, that is a great tip and also a great image as a reference for me! I intended to airbrush, but brushing is also an option if it proves more suitable it this case.
  18. Update no. 1. I started with the first Cobra. Te fit is excellent as one would expect from Hasegawa. The cockpit is on the bland side with black in black colors. I will probably add a little tan/olive drab to the seats liven things up, as I don't intend to insert the supplied pilots. The current state of play: note that the cannon, canopy and the skids are just loosely fitted. The build is proceeding very quickly and I am considering starting the second helicopter tomorrow. Before I do this, a question to the more advanced colleagues: How do you transfer the camouflage pattern to the chopper? Do you just wing it freehand or do you have some tips how to make it more uniform?
  19. You could always back-date this to an AH-64A and the trails of the Sidewinder in 1987. Apparently nowadays AAC Apaches could carry A-A missiles, but this would mean that some counter measurement equipment installed on the wingtips would have to be taken of the airframe - which would be a bad trade-off.
  20. Well time to let the glue follow the posts and start with my entry for this GB. I will be building the AH-1 Cobra Kisarazu Special 2012/2013 double kit with a flamboyant livery depicting two of the four Kisarazu sisters (anime girl mascots of the 4th ATHS). So without further ado: the obligatory box shot: Here are some more shots of the sprues (of course there are two sets of those in the kit): A close-up of the decals - the highlight of the kit: While the artwork was originally placed only on one side of the choppers, I intend to decal the right hand side of the cobras as well - because I can And now for the extras: Cockpit masks and the cannon which I may or may not replace: I also got the right colors! This is my first brush (excuse the pun) with Tamyia colors, so I hope all goes well with the thinning (I probably will airbrush the models, but then again looking at the camouflage pattern I am not sure the hairy sit wouldn't be faster & easier. The kit itself seems to be fairly straight-forward (famous last words!). At least there won't be many issues with the landing gear Wish me luck and watch this space.
  21. @Enzo Matrix, @helios16v I see your individual Cobras with my pair of Cobras and a pair of queens
  22. Well @vppelt68 you could consider joining my Intermarum GB a a way of "atoning" for this mistake
  23. @vppelt68 I feel neglected as you didn't count my vote. If you did, then the list could be Finn-alized now.
