  1. Registered Trademark legal status also depends on where you register them. While many countries do recognise the USPTO (R) as notice symbol via the Madrid System, not all do, and/or you may have to take legal action (or as they say: defend your trademark) in the jurisdiction of the party that infringes. Fun fact: LM has let their F22 Lightning II registered trademark expire in the EU
  2. Ah well. Thanks, that means I'm not completely mad
  3. With regards to these two, the MPM efforts are now almost or just over 20 years old - and from a time when they were finally branding their kits with a proud 'canopy is injected' banner (something almost everyone else was doing for decades). Exaggerations aside, those are candidates for a refreshed effort with current technology.
  4. That should not have come as a surprise however...
  5. That requirement for 3rd party country business to have a Responsible Person is not new. It already existed (hence the import rep for several Chinese brands being based in Germany for years), and in 2019 that requirement was also part of the agreement that for many led to the shift to VAT & handling costs being done by the shipping agent (post, or courier). As for the safety information requirements, the post by Noel may indicate more. Again, I have not seen any change in other manufacturers or traders' information on FAQs or otherwise that indicate this is as major for them as the 2019/2020 transition date was. That said, I do acknowledge that this is a change that does affect the UK and NI in a different way because of the exceptional position negotiated.
  6. XF-83 is a bit light, if I remember correctly. From that thread: That would suggest XF-20 would be off, too.
  7. Neneh Cherry and U2 directly come to mind. Did Prince also feature on that album? Not sure.. it's been a while
  8. The good thing is that almost all of that info should be available in the postage systems - sender and addressee (or alternate delivery address),and the information in the CN22. Mind you, we're in the final stretch of DORA compliance at work. Oh what fun.
  9. I'll pay attention to the labels of my Hannants order then
  10. Oh absolutely. But I did the rounds over my five main shopping sites that are outside the EU, and none of them have specific mention of this particular requirement (per December 13th) of which the quoted information suggests it would affect all outside the EU. That's why I'm a bit skeptical as to the motivations behind the ruckus.
  11. Just a miscategorisation by Hannants. The product number is that of a SH plastic kit.
  12. The T-2 / F-1 is similar to, but not a license built or copied Jaguar. Completely different aircraft, and therefore different kit too. No shared components. The Adours however were license-built by IHI as TF40.
  13. There's also this: Tribals, Battles and Darings: The Genesis of the Modern Destroyer by Dr. A. Clarke https://www.amazon.com/Tribals-Battles-Darings-Genesis-Destroyer/dp/1526772906
  14. Perhaps it is delayed to this extent because the original design has been improved upon (based on the earlier comment about the Albacore being started before the 109s). Who knows...
  15. https://support.shapeways.com/hc/en-nl/articles/17209325443484-Shapeways-FAQ That has an explanation of the goings-on. Looks like standard VC & IPO problems startups tend to go through.
  16. Greek Bloch 151 and a rare Ki-83 And something completely different - dabbling in figure/statuettes. Both off 'bay, decent prints that need a little cleanup, but as the Athena statue shows nice details. Long-term projects, more likely.
  17. So, this regulation has been in place since 2005, but some people apparently like to stir up feelings. Got it.
  18. No pricing yet - but the old MPM boxings are still floating about, for something in the 40-50€ range. I hope they don't just re-release this as-is, but improve on some of the weak points (see-through gaps in wheelbays).
  19. Stick a bit of PE in the box and double or triple the price of the original pure-plastic kit. At least, based off their U-505, the 1/32 Mk.IX and the 1/48 B-29...
  20. Orrrr... once you decide to wind down your business, put the moulds up for sale and there are no takers at all.. What do you do then? Keep them clogging up space forever?
  21. Special Hobby also has them for sale, and with their club membership discount (10% standard) it does make a difference. Got mine for 21€, combined it with the Boston Mk.I (based off the DB-7 kit) and a few AM bits to spread out the 12€ shipping costs. Still cheaper than mainstream traders
  22. Yeah, that's a comparison I'd never make.
