  1. It appears from some of my references that some of the PR versions had the enlarged elevators, PR Mk 32,PR Mk 34(early),PR 34A, PR Mk 34A BOAC Gust Research Bird, the Spartan birds like the one we are working on here in Canada had standard elevators, ... CF- HMS RS 700 a PR Mk 35 was a conversion from a B Mk35, so it was born a bomber.... Jeff
  2. I am helping restore a Spartan Mosquito here in Canada, and RS700 CF-HMS has two stage Merlins and standard elevators..................show me how to post a pic and I can show it....or on a PM, if you like.... Jeff
  3. Ha ! Very cool.... One of the pics I have is of Sentinel Hill looking down to Imphal airstrip wartime of course..... I sent you a P.M.

  7. Joss, looking great.. I just finished the same kit as a 418Sqdn RCAF bird TH-V, I used some Eduard brass and brass gun barrels, they are really cool.... I see the resin you installed, can I ask what add on kit that is and where did you get it, I like the looks of the wheel well items..... Jeff
  8. geez, ...................... lookin good !
  9. Outstanding build Rizzo.... I must confess to lurking in the back ground watching this with intrest, as I have this kit, barely started , and I am wondering, as I think I may have missed it, what did you use for staining of the wood and or varnish? I am mostly a plastic guy, and this will effectively be my first wood kit.... I have heard things like, they can't be stained or varnished as it ruins the grain of the wood and every bit will need to be sanded etc.... also I am like Richard, am most interested in the photo etch you made, I would love to buy that for my Camel as well...... again what an outstanding piece of art... Cheers Jeff
  10. I don't suppose you may consider selling a set or two?? They look great....I could probably live with them being a tad short, but the too narrow thing is frustrating, I was going to shim it up inter the wing on the inside ...... Jeff
  11. Beautiful job... I also have a set of the CMK engines, that I am hoping to modify the Tamiyal Mk IV so I can attempt a model of 'F' Freddie GB*F 105 sqdn ( IF I can find any decals) but I am curious to what the mods you made to the engines... I have dry fitted mine and feel that are a touch narrow, along with being a bit short as well... any information or pics of your mods would be awesome.... I really like your build.. Jeff
  12. Yes, Encore does that exactly, some of which with the added extras are fairly good, but to confess I am more of a Mosquito/Spitfire guy LOL

  16. My wife's uncle was a navigator on Lanc MkII's with 408 Sqdn RCAF , and said it was a hot rod, and one of the best he ever had the pleasure of flying in.... awesome job Graham... I have the kit but not the paragon conversion..... would love to find that one.... Jeff

  20. Hey Don149, , I will do that again in case i missed it, but it seems that all I can see ( with my 4 eyes at that) is 1/48 scale.. thanks I will check again, I must be more vigilant... cheers Jeff
  21. Good day Chaps... I am on the hunt for a good set of 1/32 scale upper and lower wing ( fuselage as well )British roundels for my Tamiya Spitfire Mk XVI kit. The Tamiya ones are way too thick, so I am looking for a good source of available C and C1 Roundels, as I am wanting to make a very late model Mk XVI. I have found what seems to be a plethora of 1/72 and 1/48 scale but it seems not so much for 1/32...... if anyone has a suggestion I may follow up on, I'd sure be appreciative....... I have been lurking in the darkness here and watching many great builds, you guys are most inspiring..... cheers for now Jeff
  22. Good day Chaps..... new guy here, I have a question that I am sincerely hoping one of you can help me with... I am searching for a source for a set of good 1/32 scale C and C1 British roundels for a late model Spitfire, namely the Tamiya Spitfire MK XVI. The kit decals are way too thick, and I have searched around to no avail, lots in 1/72 and 1/48 but the 1/32 seem illusive..... any ideas that I can try would be most helpful. Apologies if I have posted this in the incorrect place..... Cheers Jeff P.S. sorry not to be clear, it is upper wing roundels, not so much fuselage ones......BUT I could use the fuselage ones too..... Guess I better put this post where it belongs eh? I don't know of any Spitfire in WW1 ! Sorry....
