  1. Hi all, glad to say mine turned up today, well worth the wait ( it's one big box though !).
  2. Hi all, found this simple and quick way to make copies of parts etc very good video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVZLXLaidjQ
  3. It appears that the kits are now being dispatched out, looking forward to receiving mine.
  4. Hi, it seems nobody as built this so in an experiment assembled the top run of tracks with masking tape and positioned them where they would go (NOT GLUED), then by adding the individual links until they met it appears the quantity of individual links is 9 NOT 6 as per the instructions, then glued the to section into position , et voila completed !
  5. Hi , I am building the above kit but in the instructions it tells you to fit only 6 of part 19 around the sprocket and rear idler, this clearly wrong has anyone built this kit and can advise on the correct number of links to use. P.S. just out of interest I ave just checked Revell Germany's instruction download site for the new release of this kit and although it now says 8 instead of 6 this is still not correct.
  6. Also Late SD.KFZ 7. https://www.revell.de/produkte/modellbau/militaer-und-figuren/fahrzeuge-zweiter-weltkrieg/id/03263.html
  7. Revell are showing on their website one of the ex Maco kits under their branding. https://www.revell.de/produkte/modellbau/militaer-und-figuren/fahrzeuge-zweiter-weltkrieg/id/03264.html
  8. I thought I would make a start on the stash by building some Revell Panzer IV's, the building part is not a problem but when it comes to finding out if its got zimmerit on it or not is confusing. I have reference books (eg, Panzers in the Bocage etc) and have looked on websites, even the decals I have cannot make up their minds if a particular tank's an Ausf H or J! MY HEAD HURTS !!!!
  9. Got the Teknograd book and kit awaiting in the stash.
  10. Looks fine to me, I agree about leaving top part because it's hidden, they look to be quite large so are an easy intro to the joys of link an length tracks. When I build mine I always do the bottom run first then up to the drive sprocket (the most difficult bit and I leave it loose to allow for adjustments) then to the rear idler.
  11. If you have not attached the top to the lower hull yet the tracks will be easy to fit then paint as two sections.
  12. Welcome to the one true scale ! At least it was a good kit to start with makes it easier to assemble (not like some I could mention), regards the tracks link and length is the better way to go (I would recommend being in the right frame of mind to tackle them), built quite a few now from makers like Revell, Unimodel and Maco.
  13. That's a nice Puma I always like to see a model when its in the primer stage.
  14. oh almost forgot, the Jagdpanther was never fitted with steel rimed wheels.
  15. For the dark yellow I use Vallejo 978 this is in their Model color range and has very fine pigment and can be brush painted on ( usually two coats is enough). For the green I use Vallejo 890 (reflective green) and for the brown Vallejo 985 (hull red).
  16. Please note that the grab handles and figure were added by the builder, these are not included.
  17. Also I forgot, yes the wheel rims should be black but use a dark grey has black is too stark at this scale , I use Vallejo Dark Rubber for any tyre's or rubber items.
  18. Hi, the easy way is to type into GOOGLE 'Revell to Tamiya paint conversion' should come up with various paint conversion charts.
  19. The earlier post was for the pre-order only and has now finnished, it should appear on the OKB Grigorov site when ready for sale. http://www.okbgrigorov.com/ http://shop.okbgrigorov.com/
