  1. Love it! Chute looks really impressive, excellent work!
  2. Hey guys, I have just bought the micro set and micro sol pack, and most people mention that you need to clear coat your model first (Future floor wax ect) then apply the decals. I live in Australia so Future is not an option, and I have done some googling and Pledge One-go is the oz equivalent. Turns out that was discontinued years ago. Cut a long story short, I would like to know what clear coat to buy so I can finally apply the decals! Also, I don't like some of my models with a gloss appearance if they are meant to be matte/ flat, so could I just apply a flat varnish over the clear & decals when its dry? If so, whats the best go-to flat varnish? Cheers in advance lads!
  3. Hey lads! I'm sure we all dream of that day owning or building a race car, and I myself dream of that most days, and when you don't have the funds to do so, what do you do? Well, I decided today that I should start scratch building my own (Not sure what car yet) from pretty much everything that is scrap in my shed, 1/24th scale of course. I had already started building the entire chassis for a Lotus 97T (1/20th maybe???) but that sort of got out of hand and it was a hassle bringing out the MIG welder every time I wanted to add another tube for the frame. I started again (Different chassis design) but this time with some brass I found so I can just solder it instead of welding. The only parts I really need to buy are the wheels, engine and maybe the body. It's most likely going to turn out as a time attack car with a 4AGE or SR20. All photos so far have been taken with my phone so they don't do it 100% justice. Also, all the images were uploaded to imgur, and they upload in here way too big, anyone know how to re-size them? Cheers!
  4. Hey lads! Picked up this bad boy for christmas. It will be my first proper aircraft model. I have previously built a P-51 and the crappy Airfix B-25, but I wont count them as they are half finished and in very poor condition haha. So far this kit has been a gem, quality is outstanding, and everything (so far) fits together perfectly. Hope you guys enjoy this build thread. I will keep you updated on progress. Cheers. So far, the cockpit area is 75% complete, still have to do some paint touch ups & details, I'm pretty happy with the seat (Pics dont do it much justice). Also have to finish painting and weathering the engine. Any tips with this build would be appreciated
  5. This is really coming along nicely! Keen to see how it turns out.
  6. Hey lads and ladettes, Long time reader, first time poster! I haven't been modelling for very long, but I have been thoroughly interested in anything WWII/ military related (Vehicles/ Machinery) for a while now. I picked up this model at a local store for around $25-$28 in the month of July. I found it pretty easy to put together, the stupid rubber tracks were a burden though, I melted the links with the soldering iron and it didn't really turn out! I also had to borrow the number stickers from another Russian vehicle and the German sticker from a stug I am building. Other than that, I'm relatively happy with it, It is my first proper tank model. Cheers!
