Looking forward to this - it´s a nice aircraft! As for the nose and all that - see here: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234932089-fairey-battle-nose-for-airfix-kit-172-valiant-wings/ -
Looking real nice, thanks for sharing! What colours did you use? Especially the grey one..?

Striking new boxing of the Airfix 1/48th Hurricane MkI
Paramedic replied to John's topic in Aircraft WWII
Not a new tool, is it..? -
Ah, ok - got it now! That Spitfire looks real nice! Saw it yesterday actually, in that Polish Spitfire Mk. IXs book. (first one?) Looking forward to that Mustang!
-
Can´t imagine that anyone would - this is great for Polish Mustang-info in one place.. Great looking Mustangs! I hope you post the fourth on this site later on! Actually, I didn´t realize Horbaczewski´s Mustang(s) were three either. Thought it was one re-painted with D-day stripes.. Didnt even look at the serials. Oh, that´s funny! I can see why you modelled his Mustang! Where is it? Only streets I know of in Warszawa is Ulica Dobra (Dobre?) and Inflancka..
-
But those from "Polish Mustangs" are (more) correct, right? My brothers wife said so too (beak) but since that Osprey book said "darling" and "kid" I got confused.. Thanks for that! Nice! Have you posted pics?
-
Thank you both! I have that superb book! Bought my first Polish-designated Mustang III today. Not sure which decals I´ll be using though. Horbaczewski is really interesting but not uncommon it seems (both in Tamiya´s and Academy´s 1:48 and 1:72-kits it seems!) I have studied a little Polish, have one close Polish friend and my brother is married to another so I think I´ll manage.. However, those two don´t know Horbaczewski´s nickname so you can help me with that if you want to (Dziubek). I know it says "darling" or "kid" in "Polish Aces..." (Osprey) but is there more meaning in it..? Anyways, I am sure there will be a 65. Squadron Mustang IVa as well as a bunch of Polish ones - I have soo many decals for them and hate to let them go to waste.
-
I think it looks real sweet, great job! Too bad you didn´t get anywhere but keep up the great work! Interesting decals, I just bought one today and was about to use the RAF decals but Luftwaffe seems interesting too..
-
Thanks for the thought. I will fix them in other ways and have a Spare from Airfix for the stencils.
-
Yepp, those red cloth-decals are a pain in the @ss.. Atleast I didn´t manage them - far easier to mask and paint/spray. Looking real good so far! It´s a beautiful little kit, ain´t it?
-
Harsh or not.. ..thanks for the pics, haven´t seen them before and there are a couple of Polish Mustangs in the stash.. Thanks for the heads-up on the louvres as well!

Hawker Tempest Eduard Profipack 1/48
Paramedic replied to Arkady72's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Stunning work! The model looks awesome, I sadly missed out, and you painted it absolutely perfect! Great job! Other than Closterman´s markings, what did you get, if any, in the kit? -
Jan Zumbach´s Mk. Vb (EN951) - Tamiya 1/72
Paramedic replied to Paramedic's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Haha, Well, it´s not really that good but - thanks anyway. No guesses on the Mk.IXc´s pilot? There is a famous photo of him applying those kill-markings. And his father was from Sweden. ´nough clues! -
Quickboost resin nose for Mosquito Mk.VI - what is it?
Paramedic replied to Paramedic's topic in Aircraft WWII
Thanks, I was thinking that at first too but since it says Mk.VI... But it is for the Mk.VI - and those were used to make the Tse-tse..? Though I cannot find any other parts for the 6 pdr for example. I will definetly have a look at that book, though I think my quota this Spring is used up, there are alot of books on the way to me by the postal service. "Mosquito Aces 42-45" is one of them, thankfully. -
Hi, have built a small bunch of 1/72 aircraft since just before Christmas - after a 17-18 year long pause.. Just tried some new shading techniques on this one however and still feel I have looads to learn. But none the less, I am kinda happy with it. Compare it with an earlier Mk. IXc (Airfix) and I think that shadng, even if far from perfect, did make it slightly better looking. Then there are some other problems, silvering, too straight wing, slightly un-aligned cannons etc.. But I will do that better next time. Decals are from Tamiya, Techmod and Xtradecal. Added a resin Rotol-propeller from Quickboost (?) and brass-cannons from Aber. Appaerently the Polish markings didn´t have "poland" under it on this particular aircraft, I later saw.. Oh well.. Oh! And a bonus gold-star will be rewarded to the first person who tells me which ace flew that Mk. IXc! Sorry for the bad pics by crappy lightning...

Hi, bought a Tamiya Mosquito some time ago and for some reason I also bought this piece: But I don´t know what it is (yeah, weird to buy it - I know! ). So, what is it?? Looks to me that there are supposed to be just two MGs, two have been deleted? SOme kind of radar? I actually did put in quite an effort to find out myself, searching for pics, reading on Mossie-sites but so far I have come up with.. ..nothing! Not even here. So, double embarrassed!

1:72 Airfix Supermarine Spitfire Mk I
Paramedic replied to Navy Bird's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Absolutely stunning cockpit for a 1:72 aircraft! That green, er brown..? Looks even and nice, will be interesting how it turns out and matches with the other camo-colours! -
There is supposed to be more attempts..?
