  1. Thanks for the reminder Gary W.....I had to look at "Pipped" Twice.....smile! BTW its a fantastic model with a first class finish, a finish I will not achieve, but its got an incorrect engine fitted, also the LHS fuselage 'black square' shouldn't be there!
  2. Simply stunning Tony..... I'll never achieve that standard but those real worn Sabres are something else..
  3. Small update... @ Scimitar...good point regarding the wings, it just seems as though the fuselage is Minging! @ Solo....No problems so far with the construction, it goes together exceptionally well. Just building it straight from the box, with the exception of adding some odd decals I can find from the spares box, mainly serials as there appears nothing else on these aircraft.
  4. Top class model and the setting looks absolutely correct for the build and presentation...
  5. Thanks Richard and HTH. (great photos) Re the painting Richard, i'll be first off giving it a coat of black primer, then overcoat with silver then apply the camouflage (Xtracolor enamel with spraygun) I'll see how it goes after that. Cheers
  6. Thanks for the info Jessica, I should be able to correct them. re the paint job - yes i'm going to give it a go, haven't decided how as yet, but that is the plan.
  7. One of the next ones up for me is Trumpeters 1/48 F-100C built as a Turkish delight! Photo of the real thing with kind permission. Brian.
  8. Thanks all for your comments. @stevehnz......Hi Steve, yes it surprised me too, but when you look at them in plan form they are pretty much identical. Brian.
  9. Hi Canberra Fan, I'm not sure but I thought the "King Cobra" was a squadron reference, hence the emblem on the fin, but i'm unsure. Thanks for all your comments and as others have said i'm sure we will see many more fine examples of Airfix's superb kit. Brian.
  10. Another 72 lightning - Airfix with Modeldecal set 23 markings.
  11. Cheers Martin, Sean, Val et al, glad you like it, i've thoroughly enjoyed building it,especially using it as a test bed for adding some foil panels. The kit itself isn't in the same league as the new Airfix offering but with a bit of patience you can make it presentable. Anyway, the F2A over on RFI soon. Thanks for your comments.
  12. Keeping an eye on it Martin, Keep up the good work! Brian.
  13. Novo Lightning Finished...thank god for that!
  14. Now that looks one 'grimy' beast looking forward to see how you dirty it up! BTW what happened to the Norwegian Demonstrator? Brian.
  15. Thanks all, and finally SIR NIGEL GRESLEY
  16. A beauty Mish, it really is an excellent kit isn't it and the green livery sets it off a treat.
  17. Some foil added, mainly on the Novo kit just for experiment purposes...
