  1. I just picked up my kit of the Gannet last week, I am equal parts inspired and intimidated looking at your stunning build!
  2. Well that certainly has come out well, great result!
  3. Gimme Shelter, glad to hear that my model has been able to make you feel like that. Thanks for your comments, and everyone else’s too, much appreciated.
  4. Great finish, certainly looks like i has spent a while in the water!
  5. Great finish on the Dog there Steve, fantastic.
  6. Great way to present a Kahu, well done!
  7. A very well finished early Beau, great result.
  8. Very nicely done
  9. Excellent build Elgar, very well finished indeed.
  10. Great finish, worn and weathered beautifully.
  11. F-RSIN 1/144 Vickers Viscount 800 finished as Viscount 816 VH-TVQ of TAA - Trans Australia Airlines - circa late 1960's using Hawkeye Decals. A VERY basic kit - image of instruction sheet included in photos - but buildable with a degree of planning and patience. Half the prop blades broke in two when removing them from the sprues, the nose gear leg was so short shot a replacement was scratchbuilt, the gear bay doors were all replaced by plastic card and the quite prominent nose gear door actuators were scratched too, as were all the antennas and beacons and aerial. Finished in Tamiya LP2 White with SMS Premium Super Clear over that and SMS Super Silver with SMS Infinite water based clear over that.
  12. What a great wiffer, the Rafale sure rocks the black bunny scheme!
  13. Indeed - flew one of them Melbourne to London return back in 2012, a great bus to travel on. Failing the A340-600 I am planning a 747-8F in Etihad Cargo colours 😆
  14. Thanks Bill. The sharklets were a custom paint mix, the rest of the livery is from the kit decals. Revell used Cartograph for these decals and they behaved very well (for the most part), reacting well to setting solution and the hairdryer for the more complex curves especially towards the tail.
