  1. Cheers Wayne, Not sure about 'pumping out' - it's more like dribbling out at a glacial pace. And quality is subjective - I know where the flaws are! 😉 Iain
  2. As it's cold and dark tonight - another couple of images with AI backgrounds... Need to finish painting the Modellu figures now! Iain
  3. Thanks everyone. First model I've actually completed in ages - planning to go through the shelf of doom to see if I can finish something else. 🙂 Iain
  4. Thanks for everyone's kind words... Have been playing with AI tools to create a backdrop to the model - first 2 'plays' have yielded these... RAF Drem, winter '41/42 and ready for the night's 'trade': Earlier in the day - having just been re-armed and prepped for that night's sortie. Quite like this one. Have fun, Iain
  5. Funnily enough I'm just finishing the write up of a review for LSP at present... 😁 It looks stunning in the box! Iain
  6. Hi all, just finished building the Airscale 1:32 Defiant... Definitely one of my all time favourite modelling projects and one I'd very highly recommend! Back in a mo... Iain
  7. Thanks Sean! Funnily enough a copy of that arrived earlier this week and I'd spotted that reference. I'm pretty certain that whatever the arrangement inside the fairing - it was separate from anything inside the rear fuselage. Note the external wire in the image I posted above - and I don't think there'd have been any access for chutes etc. under the rear turret. And where the fairings have been removed on ex. Aéronavale airframes it appears that no openings have had to be covered. Another book on post-war Lancs due to arrive today - you never know... Thank you one and all for your input so far. 🙂 Still searching! Iain
  8. Probably the best image I've found so far - an Aéronavale GR7 in Algeria... I can probably CAD up the fairing from this - but still looking for details of the internal gubbins. Iain
  9. Thanks for your taking the time to respond everyone, much appreciated. This doesn't relate to any glider towing points - just the fairing at the very rear of the fuselage applicable to Maritime Lancs only. Aircraft Illustrated June 1969 has been suggested in one of the links - and, funilly enough, I have a copy here. But, unfortunately, the drawing of the fairing is inaccurate compared to photos - and doesn't illustrate any of the internals: I probably have enough from available photos to CAD up the outer fairing whilst I dig further on the 'gubbins'... Iain
  10. Hi all, I appear to have acquired two of the Border 1:32 Lancasters this year - really shouldn't have added to the 'pile' of kits already shouting 'build me' - but hey, ho, what's life without *more* distractions! 🫠 One I would like to do as a wartime Bomber Command airframe, and a second I'd like to do as a post-war Maritime airframe - the last operational RAF Lanc: Now, I have a set of the later type wheels (as used on the Lincoln) on order - and I can CAD up the other parts that might be needed - but one area has me a little stumped. Underneath the rear turret is a boxy fairing that, I believe, contained flares and a camera. It's open underneath, and to the rear, so I'm trying to find any drawings/photos that illustrate this area inside. I've trawled the 'net - and all my books - but so far drawn a blank... Anyone? Iain
  11. Excellent result Pat!! 😍 You've inspired me to dig my 1:32 version out again... 😃 Iain
