benskipper Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Hi allMade a start, got the chassis and suspension together , will post some photos when the lock smith (who is 4 hours late!) turns up and lets me in my garage! DOH!!
ferny Posted March 9, 2011 Author Posted March 9, 2011 (edited) Well after the lock smith letting me down and a 24 hour duty on monday i finaly got in my garage to take some photos and do a little bit of scratch building. I started with the chaissis which on the whole is not bad alought the steering arangement is a bit iffy. Not overly concered about the seam line as land rover chassis are weled in the same place. Here is the engine as hobbyboss intend it. it was lacking in detail and in some places completey wrong. So i set about it with my razor saw bits of stock rod, wire and some solder and ended up with this. Not a totaly accurate but better than out of the box. Thnaks for looking. Edit- just noticed- the three bolts that hold the rocker cover down are missing- how could they miss that!!!! Edited March 10, 2011 by Mentalguru
jimbuna Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Great detail......plenty of horses by the look of it.
ferny Posted March 10, 2011 Author Posted March 10, 2011 Great detail......plenty of horses by the look of it. Most of them only have 3 legs unfortunatly!
jimbuna Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Most of them only have 3 legs unfortunatly! LOL...I meant horsepower...between 110 and 120 I would think

moosequito Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 It seems to sit better than the AA version. How does it compare so far?
ferny Posted April 4, 2011 Author Posted April 4, 2011 Can't say not built the AA kit, it goes together really well but they have used some artistic license on parts!
