Ivan The aircraft has an external length of 48.66 meters, tail height of 12 meters and fuselage diameter of 3.76 meters. It has a wheelbase of 20.09 meters and the landing gear is equipped with low-pressure tires. The cabin is 26.06 meter long, 3.5 meter wide and 2.26 meter high. You are needing 78mm pipework so 75mm by 100mm ducting pipe in aluminium as a possible option on evilbay for £8.39 each ? Advertised for Duct pipe for air diesel parking heater conditioning ducts !

I have a few photos of the Jet Provosts at Scampton in the mid 80's but as I don't have a photobucket account I don't know how to get them to you for some reference if you might be interested. Going to check out if the Britmodeller links to Facebook page but ping me a PM if you want to see them. Also some good pics of Hunter and Hawk trainers and me doing a Ewan McGregor impersonation beside a JP T5 that I got a flight in. I would love a model of the T5 I flew in but I am crap at building and painting wingy things! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Your builds are really coming on and looking forward to seeing how the VC10 comes together. Flew in one to Wildenrath as a cadet age 15. Fond memories. Keep up the fantastic work.

STUNNING BUILD !
-
Kirk Had a bit of an Annus Horibilis with work and family health issues in 2018 and just getting my head out of it all ! Not had much joy out of my model building which was normally my stress relief ! When Photobucket screwed us all up it kind of put me off the forums because uploading was going to take a lot more organising too ! Have missed you all though as it was certainly good at boosting my mojo to build ! Did potter about with the Landrover lightweight scratchbuild with some fixes to chassis after comparing with the lovely KFS Lightweight kit that I bought from another modeller a while ago ! Also bought the KFS Landrover ambulance as well so have that in the stash now too. There is my scratchbuild Arrows trailer for the TM to tow as well that needs completing ! My Bedford MK UBRE build was the last project that I started but got hung up on the large fuel tanks construction so need to give them a bit of thought as to how I want to build them, either solid or hollow, and with what materials ! Also want to tackle the 1/25 Centurion conversion to AVRE and I also have the 1/25 Chieftain ! Now my work issues are getting sorted out, I hope that my mojo will return and I will work out what I am going to concentrate on !

Happy New Year I need to spend some time checking back on your builds as not been on in ages ! Hope life is good and build work is going well ! All the best Nige

Hi folks Not been on in years as thought Photobucket had screwed everybody up ! I see some of my photos appearing and saying proudly hosted by Photobucket ! Anyone got a clue what happened in my absence ? Will maybe get around to checking out the site again as have missed popping in to see how folks were getting on with their builds but as other folks photos were missing it seemed pointless to keep going ! I hope this is a positive change since I was last ! Hope everybody is well and hope to reconnect with those who pushed me on with my builds ! Serious MOJO loss and much need of getting back on my builds ! HAPPY NEW YEAR AS WELL Nige

They screwed everybody !

RAF vehicle sets built/converted
Okdoky replied to Mancunian airman's topic in Ready for Inspection - Armour
Fantastic work on all the vehicles ! Hope you are remembering the daft ones like bin lorries and the like for the clean up around the airfield ! Your build is amazing and is going to be as busy as it should be ! Looking forward to seeing what comes next ! -
That is an amazing build and I am totally envious of your skills and dedication to a project ! Those buildings and the selection of vehicles and the Lancaster on site so far just bring the whole thing to life ! Following this for sure ! Nige

You could undo them, paint them, then do them up again ! I will get my coat !

1/72 scale Bedford QLR J145 scratchbuild
Okdoky replied to vindicareassassin's topic in Ready for Inspection - Armour
Amazing skill making 1/35 scale look so tiny ! Simply stunning to have a massive penny to pull the stunt off ! Love your work Nige -
Ian Here is the build I have of my Lightweight and if you go to page 2 you will see how I went about the twin tanks ! You are right that they are very obvious when looking from the sides and would be needed if you are losing the rear tank ! Looking forward to seeing more Landies appear ! http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/64146-124-landrover-lightweight/&page=2 Nige

See message sent re 1/35 photo etch that would give you the basic shapes you need and just need the sizes ! Nige

Trust me Bar ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, A bucket or two will be one of these daft fill in jobs you could probably sketch the cone shape on paper first to get the look and size right ! Then cut out as many as you need in minutes ! Nothing to them Nige
-
Bar Idea for buckets ! Find some suitable diameter sprue and fit to drill chuck end and use a speed controller to form a decent shaped master or series of formers all the same size ! Get some aluminium catering cartons and flatten and cut the necessary partial cone shape sides and either glue them direct to your formers with the top edge proud to add sand and handles or remove the former for empty buckets ! Make as many as you need dead cheap ! Use hole punch for the bottoms ! If you were really cleaver you could make a former for the old round metal buckets and lids that the dustmen used to put on their shoulders afore the days of the wheelie bins ! I use a drop of the cheap superglue from poundlands and a drop of the humbrol out of the needle type bottles mixed to glue the aluminium to any other materials and itself ! Accepts any paints too ! Nige

SLOW ? ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, HARDLY ! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, METICULOUS ? ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, DEFINITELY ! Nige

Richard I am sorry but I have to complain ! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I think you got the wrong bolt head size imprinted on those fasteners you fitted ! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, The left bolt should be 8mm flat head clockwise screwed ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and the right one an anticlockwise sunken head ! TEE HEE WITH THE DETAIL YOU HAVE FLUNG AT THIS KIT I AM SURPRISED THAT IT DOES NOT START UP AND DRIVE ! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, SIMPLY AMAZING ! Nige

The HAS is looking very business like ! What is next on the project list ? Nige

Long Job - FV439 Royal Signals Radio Relay with some 3d Printing
Okdoky replied to Wogga's topic in Work in Progress - Armour
Pete Would painting with tipex and sanding back help fill the printing steps and allow you to see when sanding is getting flush with steps ? Thanks for your help with the UBRE too. Nige -
Hi Richard Had a serious mojo block when I dropped the Bedford TM last year at Dundee ! Just got around to putting it back together again so I am about to get started on the KFS Bedford MK and hopefully scratchbuild an UBRE pod for the back of it ! I have a lot of info compiled and just have to get my bottom in gear again ! Loving your amazing attention to detail Nigel

Amazing detail in such small scale ! Nige

You have the look down to a T ! Will really be a masterpiece collection of vehicles when you put them together ! Nige
