Drawing a truck in 3D from a plan - where to set the origin?
Bozothenutter replied to bootneck's topic in 3D Printing Basics
I don't think it matters, as long as they are correct relative to each other? Tip, use a drawing program to check scans for straightness. Scanners do weird things sometimes (as do folded open books/magazines) A grid view, or some straight lines help. -
Civilian version would be good for jusf the rotors wouldn't it?

Anything available online specifically the 5 blade rotor versions (spare parts book maybe?) Specifically looking for the rotors to learn CAD and design for future printing.

That looks like printed triangles, not engine turning.. -
Interesting, I have 2 Monogram Tigersharks. Is the fuselage mostly Tigershark with different wings and intakes?

The 'mating line' second from left? Should be angled forward. Could you be holding the nose upside down? -

That would be my idea, stripping and rebuilding. No decals available, but they are in in the scalectrixverse.

Not used it, but Vector stuff is quite hard to get now.

Just saw the F-4E 'Terminator 2020' on Scalemates. It seems they are keeping going with late E's. 😒 http://www.moxingfans.com/uploads/allimg/20250611/20250611170344_43988.jpg

Lampredi narrow valve angle head drawings?
Bozothenutter replied to Bozothenutter's topic in Vehicle Discussion
I've been checking out the available aftermarket, and it looks like GPmodelling got it wrong for the 131, and the 037, their engines being fitted with the wide angle head. I've always thought their engines looked too squat. -

Thanks, that has given me another search term! -
Lampredi narrow valve angle head drawings?
Bozothenutter replied to Bozothenutter's topic in Vehicle Discussion
not seeing it, just a car shot and a video (good video though) From other pics, that seems to have the wide angle head again (it has the 'scallops' on the inner edge of the cam covers) -
Strange reasoning, especially since the F-16 has been done to death, and nobody messed this part up......

I'm trying to draw up a Fiat/Lancia twin cam engine as used in the 131 Grp.4, Beta Montecarlo Turbo, 037. I had started , but my pics weren't matching what I saw. It turns out that for the 131 they redesigned the head to have a narrower included valve angle. wide angle engine: Narrow angle engine: I'm looking for something like this, but with the correct engine (or precisely head).

Suggestions for my first 1/350 Pre-Dreadnaught build?
Bozothenutter replied to ChicagoTom's topic in Historic Vessels to 1914
I am working occasionally on the Hasegawa Mikasa. Tbh, research shows the kit is pretty much as she is displayed now. This means a lot of her is missing, or comes from other ships (the reason my build has stalled ) -
I've seen one being built on FB, looked like quite a struggle!
