Hadland.J
Hi all, I have recently been trying to find 1:72 / 1:48 Gripen C kits. I already have a post about the 1:72 kits but I’m still wondering what the best 1:48 JAS39c Gripen kit is, I have been looking at the KittyHawk kit as it looks to be the best however they seem like a very hard to find kit. Are there any other brands? Thanks, James
GiampieroSilvestri
Italeri makes the only other kit of the Saab Gripen in 1/48. Saluti Giampiero

Are there any other brands? Kitty Hawk went out of business during COVID. Zimi Models bought their assets and have started to return the Kitty Hawk kits to market in just the last couple months. If you are patient the Gripen will probably be back at retailers sometime this year. There is also a MPM boxing of the Italeri Gripen that includes resin and PE add-ons, but I'd just wait for the Kitty Hawk kit to come back. 1

SouthViper
SAAB has changed the wings on Gripens , very noticeable at flaps line. SouthViper

SouthViper That is correct for the new E/ F models among many other things. But for the C? What do you mean? Thanks!
Bobby No Mac
I reckon a new tool would be right up Kinetic's alley, though they seem to have gone a bit quiet lately.

For the 1/48 Gripen C/D, I recommend the Italeri kit offer in the "Best Choice" brand, now long OOP. It is the Italeri plastics with tons of AM details, resins, metals, etc...
