Recommended Posts

This is the very good Hobbyboss 1/48 scale model finished in what if ANR colours. It represents the personal aircraft of Carlo Faggioni, commander of 2a squadriglia aerosiluranti based at Venegono near Varese in Lombardy,Northern Italy in 1946.It is painted in RLM83 dunkelblau with splinter of RLM70 dunkelgrün on the wings and the rudders. The undersides are painted in Italian grigio azzurro chiaro.

Not that is a unique take on this Dora; a '46 Italian fighter.  More pictures would be nice.  What prompted you to delve into this particular variation of the kit?  That would be an interesting story.  Thanks for sharing this unique "what if".

Thank you very much!If the war had continued after 1945 the SM79 would have been obsolete. The Italian aircraft industry was not able to build big quantities and as the ANR already flew German aircraft like the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-10,G-14 and K-4 so other late war Luftwaffe aircraft in ANR colours were probable.
