Michael M
This time it'll be WIP as well. Plan is for Soviet tank, with some infantry in a snowy Finnish forest...... will see.
Courageous
Like your ship building, I'm sure your WIP will great to follow, already seeing the mandatory cock holder. Always nice to see how others build, particularly in 1/72. Stuart
Model Mate
cock holder?! ....wrong forum/website surely! the preparation looks first class though - clearly the product of an ordered mind
Michael M
Aye, I'm a fan of Prussian order in preparation and planning work, my desk though is as far from Prussian garrison order as it could possibly be ; )

Courageous
Will be interesting to see if your painting technique of armour differs to that of your ships. Stuart

Michael M
For now it looks like this: I think I'll go with wash first, before hairspray and white.... Stuart my methods are always the same, just different shape objects 5

Courageous
Never tried a 'white washed' subject myself, looks great. My only query would be that wouldn't the white wash go on after the decal markings ? Stuart
Michael M
There were no markings on those tanks in Finland, so no problem haha. Later regulations stated that all markings on white washed tanks were supposed to be red and they were painted on top of the white. In this case none of it concerns me

Michael M
All depends how good snowy woodland I'll be able to make
Michael M
I've started to play with oils on the tank itself, which gives me a lot of time for other bits that need to be done. Trees: snowmen : You can clearly see from the facial expression, that the fellow on the cork with the tanker is a sergeant

Michael M
Nothing special Stuart, for now it's panzer aces track primer, oil rust wash and gunmetal dry brushed into the exposed bits on the outside, more to come...
Michael M
More dudes. I had to toss them into brake fluid, one day lost, that didn't happen for a looong time they need some mat, but that will go on later, when everything is dry and cured.
