  7. Hi to everyone who has replied so far: Graham - The picture of FA166 was taken in late 1945 possible early 1946 at the Gunnery School - these 'photos were taken with spare or surplus stock just after my father took a photography course. Gingerbob - There are a few closer pics of Spitfires which will be in a later post - more scanning for me to do ... Don - The C-46 was an American visitor (as were the B17s in the previous post). Looking at the Baltimore V I'm begining to think it is a III with a Bolton-Paul four gun turret. Looking closely the serial No is ???41 possibly ag841 but the photo is too indistinct to make out. Cheers FB (edited for spelling)
  8. Hi, Thanks to eveeryone who supplied information on my previous post. As promised here is the second installment: 11. Martin B-26 Marauder 12. Martin Baltimore ( & my Father) 13. 9. Hi Fandango, Does this help? Cheers FB
  10. Hi Troy, Unfortunately there are no captions on the photos. As for aircraft types they are based on what I've been able to find via the web & some books – some of the later photos are named as 'unk' for unknown so hopefully the people on this forum may be able to identify them. However I'll take on board your suggestions about the captions & serial numbers in the next posting. Cheers
  11. Hi, My father took approx. 60 photographs of aircraft when he was with the RAF in Egypt 1945-47. I'm guessing it was at an Air Gunnery School. I've scanned them & have attached the first ten for you to have a look & comment on. If the replies are positive (& I've done the links correctly)I'll get around to posting the whole lot.
