Hi Mencie Just come across this WIP , like what you have done so far I have been building this since January when work does not get in the way , so some question did you strip the chrome off the wheels and repaint. My wheels have ejector pin marks in them and need attention also not sure what chrome paint too use ,was thinking alclad polished ali swing arm for rear wheel has seams that need attention and repaint I have built up the front light fairing but found that needed alot of sanding to get rid of the joint phil

  7. Hi Rick Have you thought about using a rattle can for the Mica Red, Tamiya have some great colours in their range or pop down to your local Halfords ( if in the UK) and find one in the car paints,Lots of choices there Phil

Hi Good topic Codger I still have a part built 1/24 Lotus 7 which having seen this I must dig it out and get it finished If my memory serves me correctly didn't Tamiya bring out 3 versions of Lotus 7 in 1/12 scale . I would love too have an 1:12 for the stash and a 1:1 in the drive way It was ' DANGER MAN' series that used the Lotus 7 . THE PRISONER series was a Minimoke but you knew that and I am just knitpicking nice pics though Phil

  12. apologies the c/f decals are for another kit but came with the same order The detail up set has 4 bags which contain the parts for the chain,springs for the exhaust,parts for the front wheel disc and top of the suspension posts, rivets and a resin base for the r/wheel chain sprocket 7 Sheets of p/e for building up the chain,disc brakes,radiator ,fuel cap, parts for the engine and frame ,washers etc Hope that gives you an idea Phil
  13. you could always go for all 3 of them, although what is WSBK (excuse my ignorance)Bikes are not my thing but I did like the styling of this one as this would be my first bike build I am not too familiar with PE for this type,but there are a lot of small parts ie the bike chain also 2 sizes of rivets that I am sure I will need a microscope ,that is if I have the nerve too try them I am hoping Dave's build will encourage me and with ideas to build them soon Phil

Hi Roy I also enjoy reading the blurb and the mods you are adding to this beast "A picture may say a thousand words" but it is not telling the whole story I now have this kit in the stash just waiting for me too pluck up the courage and give it my best shot,although it will never be to your standards Phil

Hi Dave I like what you have done with the engine, are you using the Tamiya colour call out on the assembly plan and Tamiya paints Shall be keeping a close eye on this built Have 2 of these in the stash, planning on doing the Senna bike. Decals and paint should arrive tomorrow.The other one in the Ducati red. Also in the stash I have the front forks (another set on order) ,the Hobby Design detail up set already have the Ducati red paint Phil

  19. Hi Codger I have been watching this for a little while just love what you are doing too this beast Just a thought I would leave that engine out of the car and built a half open crate around it too look as if the mechanic is about ship it back too Mr Rolls for refurbishment Phil

Hi Shaun Just bought this kit 2 weeks ago with the Hobby Design detail set and the Studio27 carbon decals This was on show at Goodwood Festival of Speed last month also took part in the timed hill climb Also have the Fujimi kit in the Gulf colour scheme Looking forward too reading your WIP on this one Phil
