  1. Excellent work! May I ask if that model is 1/48 scale? The officer in the non-issue vest I meant.
  2. All that hard work is certainly paying off! Nice work there!
  3. Just a thought Ian. If you can, get hold of the Eduard Su-25. It includes almost all you need including resin chaff/flare dispensers which aren't found on the KP kit (I think). I have the KP kit and while nice, it does need a fair bit to beautify.
  4. Won't have noticed if you didn't tell us. :-P
  5. My my, this IS stunning! I especially love that exhaust!
  6. Lovely mossie! The Tamiya Mossie's a beaut isn't she?
  7. Hi Don, Thanks for the headsup. Unfortunately I cannot seem to find a Mk IIb (Hobbycraft or Hasegawa for that matter) my side of the world (what my publisher friends from London call the Far East). I do however, know I can get a Mk IID and we'll see how that pans out.
  8. Thank you gentlemen, you've essentially answered my question. I'll try my luck getting hold of a Mk IIb for starters, failing which, I will probably sand down the MG inserts and drill out the holes if possible. stevehnz, thank you too!
  9. Oh bugger, I forgot to state the scale, it's 1/48! Hahaha, my apologies, let me go edit the first post. But thank you for the headsup stevehnz. P/S - I do have the Monogram Mk II but am not sure if it includes the filter as the whole kit was given to me sort of in bits and bobs. It MAY make into a complete Hurricane or it may not, we'll see...
  10. Question for all you Hurricane experts out there. I am looking to do my first Hurricane kit and am considering getting the Mk IIc to kitbash with my Airfix Hurricane Mk I. Is it therefore possible to achieve the Mk IIb from this? The Mk IIc I saw was Hasegawa 1/48 JT-51 I am looking to build a Hurricane Mk IIb from probably 232 Sqn that flew over the defense of Singapore in 1942. I understand I will need the 12 guns found in the Mk. IIb and am not sure if the Hasegawa's IIc provides those guns. I see from instructions that all they had were plastic inserts marked "unused" but am not entirely sure of the "unused" parts actually have the holes molded in them. Hope I am making sense here. If kitbashing the 2 is a no go, what are my other options? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  11. Excellent WIP and superb idea for the card template. Easy to make and cheap too. The Mk I eyeball can't be relied on for such tasks. I especially like how you've managed to keep things so neat and tidy.
  12. Stunning work! You have the patience of a saint masking this up and the results speak for itself! Lovely!
  13. Thanks guys. Top marks must go to the quality of engineering for Tamiya. Even the chaff/flare dispensers clicked into place after painting. Only thing I am uncomfortable with is how Tamiya want you to attach the main landing gear struts as you build up the MLG bay. This leads to struts to be prone to potential damage so a little care is needed there.
  14. Me thinks you've got a Bilek twin tub.
