This is my take on Airfix's basic 1/48th Vb. I used an Eduard etch set in the cockpit and Aeroclub cannon barrels, as well as doing a bit of scratchbuilding here and there. Build thread is here.

This was the first model I've airbrushed, and I've certainly learned a lot from it. It narrowly escaped the bin several times, but I'm fairly pleased with how it's turned out in the end.

Very Nice model. I've recently built the same model and I empathise with your comments about binning it....for a very small model it is an absolute pig. Did yours come with extra sprues? I got really confused and I'm sure I mixed parts up....

Did you use the kit Canopy? huge respect if you did as it was really tight. In the end I used a Vac form for the sliding portion. I see you made the same mistake as me with the wingtip #walkway# lines too. The instructions are so confusing you can't see but the wingtip portion is supposed to go forward.

Great first airbrush effort BTW.

Thanks Mish and timbo. I didn't have any extra sprues, just a handful of options depending on which filter I was using.

Yes, it's the kit canopy. In hindsight, a vacform one would have been an awful lot easier, but this one just about went on (with a little persuasion). Argh ignorance was bliss! No, the instructions are very unclear; I should have paid more attention to my reference photos. Ah well, next time...
