Erwin Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Hi all, Here's my build for this GB. Some work has been done. But the Mods agreed I could enter it. Still plenty to do.
bexwh773 Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Erwin my friend, Much less than 25% and besides which, if it wasnt for you we wouldnt have this GB, so fill your boots........ shame its not an Erwin Wooden Wonder though Bex
Erwin Posted January 7, 2009 Author Posted January 7, 2009 (edited) Made the fuselage with add tailwheel. The cockpit goes in later as what you see here is with the wing dryfitted. Also primed. Edited January 7, 2009 by Erwin
zero Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Made the fuselage with add tailwheel. The cockpit goes in later as what you see here is with the wing dryfitted. Also primed. Be watching this one with interest, as these kits seem fairly priced, I have a couple of Revell 1/32 Corsairs so this model I probably would not buy, but I probably will be interested in some of the others in this range, so I'll be looking to see how this one turns out. Dave
Pilgrim_UK Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Erwin how was the gap between the wing folds for you i had a prebuilt one and the gaps where really bad. Not one to be left with wings folded.

No Erwin Thats a nice tidy little build and I'm amazed at how good it looks. I expected these kits to be little more than toys, I'll certainly be keeping my Eyes open for a few of these now. Erwin Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 (edited) Thank you all for the nice comments. I can only add to this kit that you can't go wrong for 10 Dollars if you don't care to much for detail and mostly accuracy. Great job Erwin! What paint did you use for the gloss blue? It really looks the part! Ted Hi, It's Humbrol nr 15 with some drops of matt varnish added to soften the gloss a bit. Erwin my friend,That is a beautiful Corsair What are the arrow markings for, as Ive never seen these before? Bex Thank you. Each carrier had it specific markings for easy recognition. The USS Bunker Hill planes carried the arrows. Edited January 16, 2009 by Erwin
