Courageous
Quick question with a quick answer I reckon. I have a Walrus kit that I'd like to build and has the markings for 1700 Naval Air Squadron that had one Walrus detached to HMS Emperor (US lend-lease escort carrier) in July 1945. This layman thinks that the Walrus took off from the flight deck ( it can fly-off turrets after all) but as it wasn't designed for carrier landings, it would land in the sea and get hoisted back onboard, so my question is, how would this aircraft take-off and land? Grey Beema
This might help.. I think the Walrus had such a slow approach speed, deck landing was not a major problem..
