  1. Outstanding! I've got an HF VII planned myself, once the Eduard VIII is released. Saved your pics for future reference
  2. Looks great! More pics? EDIT: you added more, looks excellent!
  3. Thanks again, guys! Cheers! It's more than two sections haha. Main fuselage, tail, rear window area, and inserts fore and aft of the exhaust. Plus the guns on the wings are inserts as well, but not quite as tricky
  4. Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback! I did an in-box review of the DOC intake on Scale Plastic & Rail here: http://www.scaleplasticandrail.com/kaboom/index.php/all-things-aviation/148-scale/aftermarket-items/1985-1-48-yak-3-p-40-and-spitfire-sets-from-department-of-correction As for installation, it was pretty much drop fit. There are two alignment strips, one of each fuselage half, that need to be removed, but that's it. I actually installed the intake last thing before attaching the wings, so the fuselage was closed up and I could be sure the intake was lined up and flush with the front piece on the nose. Couldn't have been easier!
  5. Finished pics posted in RFI: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234953125-first-of-2014-hasegawa-p-40k-of-the-64th-fs/
  6. Well here's my first completion for the year! The Hasegawa P-40's are tricky and I must say I'm really glad to have it off the bench haha. Here's a quick rundown of the build - CMK/Eduard cockpit - Ultracast seat - Ultracast wheels - Ultracast exhaust - Department Of Corrections seamless intake - Montex masks for insignia/codes - Barracudacals for the rest of the markings WIP here: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234948576-148-hasegawa-p-40k-64th-fs/ Anyways, on to the pics! Thanks for looking!
  7. Thanks Jim! I think next i'll build a Tamiya Mossie recce bird with Paragon 2-stage Merlins in PRU blue with invasion stripes
  8. You guys flatter me! It's 99% complete, next pics will be posted in Ready For Inspection. All that's left are the gunsight posts in front of the windscreen and the antenna wires. Pitot is not glued in yet, so it's sagging a bit
  9. Thanks again everyone! Well, today is assembly day Not much left to do. I should get everything but the aerial antenna wires done today
  10. Thanks guys! Another small update since I haven't had much time to work this weekend. Here are the wheels and the 500-lb bomb.
  11. Moving right along now. Washed and flat coated, and now the exhaust staining. For the exhaust, I used a heavily diluted mix of Tamiya German Grey and Red Brown (90% isopropyl alcohol, 10% paint) followed by an equally thin mix of Tamiya Medium Sea Grey First the Grey/Red Brown mix: Then the Medium Sea Grey: And here it is unmasked and mocked up, won't be long now!
  12. Thanks! I'm using the 4" FlightPose stand
  13. Small update - the exhausts. Ultracast exhausts, sprayed with Tamiya Nato Black, then given a rust wash from Rustall, and grey drybrush with Vallejo
  14. Thanks guys! That P-51 was my first attempt at a 1/72. Just to reiterate the size:
  15. 1/48 Hasegawa Typhoon 1B 1/48 Eduard F6F-5 Hellcat 1/72 Tamiya P-51D 1/48 Eduard Fw 190D-9 "late" 1/48 Tamiya Spitfire Vb Trop 1/48 Tamiya Il-2 And almost finished in time, 1/48 Hasegawa P-40K There was also an Eduard La-7 that ended up on the shelf of doom this year, otherwise I would have had more completions. Oh well
  16. Thanks! Haha someone asks about my stand in every one of my threads - it's from www.flightpose.com
  17. Decals are done, won't be much longer now
  18. Excellent year! Love those Hornets
  19. 35 builds in one year?! And all of them so incredible! I seriously don't see how you do it...
