  1. Nice wallpap.... I mean Wellington Mine met it's demise against the wall. That is one of the most frustrating kits I've ever tried to build!
  2. thanks guys, Ian, the truck is my 1957 Chev
  3. It was black. 100% safe with this as it is well documentated.
  4. Thanks all, much appreciated Nev the Placards came with the aftermarket LSP decal set I bought for 15 USD. They are part of thier dry transfer set. I hate dry transfers but these are really well done. Some didn't work that well but that was the fault of the MM polished Alum paint and sealer and weathering. They didn't stick to this that well. If you do a camo plane or Alclad NMF they would be perfect! Thanks, Ron
  5. The end result, I am happy with this one. Comments welcome, good or bad
  6. Thanks Mike, it's a fun build. If you can't find one I know where there are two kits here in Calgary

  9. Very Nice John,!! It hard to beleive that's 1/72 scale. I've been lucky enough to touch the real one a few times at Duxford (with thier permssion)
  10. Looking forward to following this one. I love Mossie's
  11. Thanks all, I'll post some more pics when I get some more done on it
  12. Go for the Airfix FR-47 Seafire. It's a great kit, the best Airfix has come out with. Only down side to the kit is the canopy is to small and the wing hinges are non-existant. I had to make wing hinges Here is mine I did a few years back. I have an old 1/48 metal contra rotating prop for a FR-47 that I've had for at least 20 years. I don't know who made it or where I got it. I've been keeping it to make an air racer kit out of it....someday If you want pics of that Canadian Mk 15 thats in the profile about we have one here in Calgary in our Naval museum.
  13. That really a neat subject. totally different. Now you need a 1/48 Dragon Rapide to park beside it
  14. Thanks! I must confess that I have not built a Tomcat kit for over 20 years. I am mainly a prop person but have built a few jets the last year Ron

  16. Very cool, I want to build one of these someday also. I personally would go with the yellow undersides as this was most common for captured planes used by the Luft.
  17. Very nice work, I like anything deHavilland!
  18. Thanks all, I managed to get some silver on it last night along with a few decals. I am using the LSP decal set which included dry transfers. Note to all, dry transfers do not work well on MM Metalizer polished Alum!! Comments always welcome
  19. Good point, but I wouldn't get any work done Thanks guys!
  20. Looking good Doc, I will be following this one closely because I have to build the same kit with the same conversion to a mk VI this summer for a friends dad who flew them in the RCAF during the war.
  21. Here is the latest on the bench, just finished all the colored bits. tonight it gets a coat of MM polished alum. comments welcome
