  1. Wow, thanks, that’s must have been tough times.
  2. Thanks guys, @ JohnT, I'm deeply honoured 303sqn, thanks for your enlightening upon studying my information V6665 coded RF-J, was shot down on the 27 September, Sgt Andruszkow was killed in the incident. I was mislead from the info given on this site: http://www.polishsquadronsremembered.com/303/303_story.html
  3. Here a picture I just finished today, a 303sqn Hurricane hitting a Me110 over Dover during the Battle of Britain.. 80 years ago now. The Hurrican was piloted by F/O Cebrzynski when it was lost 27 September, in a dogfight.. PS! My scene is pure fiction..
  4. That's some really nice and truly unique pictures, I like the a bit rough style of the pixelated pictures and the P-40 under engine maintenance must be my favorite.
  5. On top of a great modelling result, it’s also splendid photo work. Really nice photos, the dark environment suits the model!
  6. Thank you for helping. As I’m doing digital artworks, (mostly planes) from time to time, I do some maritime related stuff as well and see that smaller boafs and vessels would fit nicely into some of mh scenes. Of course I’m able to paint just «a boat» , but it would be so much nicer to have a selection of correct crafts, motor launches, sea plane tenders and so on, to make. I’ve always admired the design of older marine vessels in general and Royal Navy and RAF in particular. So, really simple scetches, b/w photos or whatever would be nice, as long as they’re right for the scene and time period depicted. Right now I’m looking for a few boats to illustrate a scene with a Short Sunderland from the WW2 era.
  7. Hi Does anyone know if there's a place on the web that has images and/or drawings of Royal Navy motor launches, smaller vessels types and so on? Especially from the era before WW1 until 1960's... I've tried to find such a place, never really had any luck….
  8. Beautiful ship, and beautifully weathered
  9. Thanks for your explaination 😊 I fully understand the crawling around bit, hehe Sometimes I think «normal» people must believe modellers are some real lunatics 😂
  10. That work truely shows your skills, great work man. I am really impressed! How do you set up your work? just out of your head or do you use some kind of pose? Platic model, photo or 3d model?
  11. Looking great, I can see the classic Phantom shape is already in place. A great alternative to travelling 😊👍
  12. Thanks all, I’ve updated my image a little, well quite a bit in fact, in some areas. The sub has crash dived before veeing attacked, new explosions and reworked the sky/fog background
  13. A piece I finished today, showing a heavily weathered 330sqn Short Sunderland attacks a german type VII sub with depth charges.. All CGI
  14. Nice.. a little tip when working on perspectives, hold your drawing up in front of a mirror and if any errors, they reveals themselves instantly in the mirror
  15. I have updated this image, I wasn’t really happy with it so I adjusted the composition completely and removed the contrails to calm it down a little.. I think this is better..
  16. Bumped into your Flickr Rob, really inpressed by your work. You have a brilliant pencil hand!
  17. Hmm yeah, they look static but they are rotating together with the propeller. The shutter speed is a bit fast I guess. Perhaps I should give them another shot of blur for safe.. Thanks for pointing it out. I updated the image some with more blur to the spinners plus a few minor 'dents' I needed to straighten.
  18. A piece I just did today, a flight of JG3 190's overflies the channel coast looking for stragglers from a passing bomber stream. .
  19. Thanks to all for your feedbacks.. and I must say it’s truly has been a useful learning for me. As I said when doing the piece, I had no thought for who was doing what in the conflict and certainly never meaning to take any side. A bit naive I guess, looking back but that’s how I saw it. Just feeling sad for all innocent civillian lives beeing sacrificed on the altar of war all over the world. So if anyone felt bad about this image it was never my intention to step on your feelings..
  20. Thanks It’s computer as all my other works here.
  21. A quickie I did of a Fw190D-9 running up it’s engine..
  22. I see it now. And yes, very dramatic and with a great sense of speed. The Eurofighter is a great looking plane all together..
  23. I say these are pretty good, considered the age of the artists 😊👍 I fear l’ve «lost» all my scetches from those days.. more than 50 years ago and several change of houses to blaim.. or someone else.
  24. Yes I agree, there will always be many wievs on this. Luckily most of us (well all, really) have never needed to experience that war. It’s now soon 80 years ago, but I realize there are still sore feelings. I’m sorry if some feels it’s inproper to display. I wasn’t meant to step on anyones toes or certainly not taking any side. For me it was ‘just another work’ inspired by historic facts..
  25. Thank you gentlemen. Researching the full story behind ‘Operation Gomorrah’ before I did this piece, was really a heart ripping story to read. Really shocking material. Mancunian airman, this work is a mix of both. The plane and bombs are CG whilst the background is digitally painted and everything baked together in Photoshop.
