  1. They do look very nice but indeed cost a lot. Be interested to hear if you have them 3D printed together on one sprue
  2. Does not look bad, that F40 wheel. Lots of paintprepping to do, so to see. Didn't inspect mine closly yet, but I expect it will be sort of he same. Looking good so far, Wayne
  3. I find it really great how you manage to use everyday tidbits and integrate them into your models. The results are fabulous and I must commend you for the time and efforts you put into sharing this with us.
  4. Ah thanks, I know what you mean now.
  5. Be interested to see a pic of the F40 wheels on the TR. Also like to know how you get on with the different primers you plan to use.
  6. Well, you said that you are looking for even wear, but in real life, seats are not used evenly. Driver seat will show most wear and tear. I have a question though. You mention that you used dryer sheet. I m not familiar with that. Can you elaborate a bit?
  7. Fantastic Codger. Looks like a well used but cared for seat.
  8. Fantastic what this guy is doing. What a wonderful level of detail.
  9. This is looking really good Codger. The stance of the seats is much better than the upright originals and the form of the cushions is looking mighty fine too.
  10. you got to finish the MB. If not for yourself, then at least for us LOL
  11. A man got to do something to keep himself busy... I hope to hear from you what the quality is of the belts you ordered (from the site I referenced?) I need some spare belts myself for the Unimat 3. 'The feeder belt is already broken and I hear that a there is a lot of rubbish on the market.
  12. I saw that you bought the little lathe. I bought my Unimat 3 online. when I received it, I was quite amazed how small it was. But, as most parts we scratch are really small, it doesn't matter. enjoy the device!
  13. Seems to be quite detailed. Looking very good, David
  14. And the same goes for me. I am also working on some scratch additions to the Alfa. Some work out ok, others I'm less proud of but in doing it, you build experience and from failures you learn. As I do not have much experience (I haven't built anything for 40 years or so), I need to practise a lot. Will show you all one of these days.
  15. Good idea. I was at a furniture shop last week and asked if they had spare leather samples. It so happens so I ended up with about 50 samples. Many of them not usable for our cars as the surface is to grainy. But it is ideally suited to be used as training material for skiving. Quite a large number of samples do have a fine grained surface that is usable for model cars, so I was happy with the set.
  16. I was following the build of Roger on the Americon forum that seems to be lost in cyberspace.. I knew he was posting on another forum too, but I didn't remeber which, so thank you for the link to the ACAA forum. What he is building is unbelievable and, yes it really warrants a book.
  17. Have a look at this site. unimat.homestead.com. Lots of info and history on the Unimat lathes. Sell belts of apparently good quality too. I do think that ebay will be your friend for additional accessories.
  18. Ah, great to have you here. I will be following closely as I have the Rolls in the stash. Judging from Codger build, it can keep you busy for a while. I'm postponing a bit as I do not have much time now, but someday I will follow you guys and present you my endeavors.
  19. Nice fit, Roy. Can you elaborate why you took the wheel arches off?
  20. I totally agree with Keith. Passenger side is looking very good. Hope you will be happy with the driver side in the end.
