ops... long weekend played with a bad timing to answer... the red, "ejection" triangles, did go... but you made a wonderfull Chilean Vampire anyway!!! At the end of the Vampires service, 1980, they didn't use the national marking in the wings.... after all we where the only ones flying that tipe of plane. about the ID in the landing gear front cover, they did have it... all of them, but not sure if by 1980. Well i do like what i see, let me know if you win a price on the Vampire!!!

Can I sugest a more yellow sand?.. We call it a "mustard yellow". I found this picture of a Vampire in the Air Museum: And the interior of the intakes is pure white. Hope it helps!

I think that some yellow in the sand and some chocolate in the brown, as mmaker says... mine are K4 paints, and I think he didn't make a perfect match, but a small mix to match the jets colors. I really think mmaker ot the idea right!

not really, we didn't paint the jets very often and the did serve in the desert... sun, sand, wind.... near the ocean.... you can guess the effect on the paint job. Those pics were taken on special ocations, like the bleesing of the jets... the day they came back to Santiago to be writen down...stuff like that

It's the light blue as far my reaserch goes, that pic didn't come just right, but it's one of the few in color. I like your ideas for the color mixes, also we used the Vampires for many years and the desert, salt and wind had a blast with the paint, so let your imagination fly!!

MMaker, can you please hold on the paints... I have my doubts about those... Here I recomend that you check out this link, it's in spanish but it has some pic that can be helpfull: http://editorialmanutara.blogspot.com/2010/04/la-era-del-jet-llega-chile-vampires.html I recomend that you use: Brown: Humbrol 186 / FS. 30117 Sand: Humbrol 63 / FS 33245 Light blue: Humbrol 65 / FS 35622 The colors on the Vampire form the link just don't do. I used the ones I recomended in a Marlet, here, just to test them and see if they'll do for a FACH's Vampire (I'm using the Airfix one to!!). I hope it helps you:

Ahhhh some one is up to date with dino's modern theorys!! Imagination can fly with this models!!! after all NO ONE will come up with a picture of an actual dino proving that what you did is wrong .

The revell and italieri kits are the same mould, it's a fair kit, poor on detalis, unlike falcon's mine didn't sit beacuse I used a resin seat (fully recomended) also if you can get a hold on the aires wheels bay and the exhaust the build will rise to really good standard.
