hatchet Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 No pic's yet! I've started this, although I haven't made much progress yet. Looks like it needs some "help". I noticed a mold-seam on the nose, I suppose that's where they take out the "S" nose and insert an "A" one for the Heller kit. I wonder where I can get a 1/72 A-model - I'm getting really interested in one with the Atlis pod and an AS-30L
hatchet Posted October 6, 2007 Author Posted October 6, 2007 A few pic's Quite a bit of putty needed and more to come. More pictures later.

Mike Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 That was quick! You're going to be rivaling Phil for build speed this way mate. He'd probably done a "Gary" and it was 98.75% completed already Certainly used a lorra lorra putty though...

hatchet Posted October 7, 2007 Author Posted October 7, 2007 He'd probably done a "Gary" and it was 98.75% completed already Oi, I'm an honourable man, I don't cheat if there's a risk of getting caught! If you look closely, I've cut a few corners
hatchet Posted October 7, 2007 Author Posted October 7, 2007 Ok, I had to do a bit extra, so I decided to make windows for the LRMTS. I used a block of clear resin (from Neils fab Popeye missiles). Drilled a shallow hole, which I filled with Mithril Silver. Cut out a chunk of the nose and painted it black, then CA'ed the resin to it. The CA now needs to dry and then the clear bit will get sanded to shape. When shaped properly, I'll paint the parts that shouldn't be clear and mask off those that should. Mask the canopy and it should be ready for painting
hatchet Posted October 14, 2007 Author Posted October 14, 2007 Got the nose sanded to shape and polished And masked it as well as the canopy. More to come later - I've got some black paint on the nose an canopy right now, getting ready for the Desert Pink
