Pielstick Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 (edited) On a visit to the Air Museum at Belgrade Airport last year I saw a Soko J-22 Orao they have on display there... I'd really like to have a go at making a model of one, and I found that Rare Resin make a limited edition kit that is available at the "Big H". I've never heard Rare Resin before, and the kit isn't cheap at fifty quid. Has anyone made any of their kits before? Info on the kit is here: http://www.rareresin.50webs.com/ I'd like to have a crack at doing this aircraft: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Serbia---Ai...Orao/1383823/L/ "Orao" is Serbian for "Eagle", hence the artwork on the side of the fuselage, and the motif on the tail is taken from the Serbian national emblem, a cross with four cyrillic "S" which stands for "Only Unity Will Save The Serbs". I'm guessing I'll have to make my own decals (eeek!), but this is a stunning looking aeroplane, and my Serbian girlfriend would love it, especially seeing as she is responsible for me getting back into the hobby when she bought me a kit for my birthday last year! Looking at your progress pics it looks like it's quite an involved kit (the intakes look like a nightmare!). What level of detail is there in the cockpit? Sivcev Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 (edited) Interior, nothing special, the canopy will be in close position so interior will not be much visible. MB10 is not Rare Resin part, it is replaced with copy of Heller`s Mirage 2000 seat. I decide to use and adopt canopy from ESCI Mirage F1, Rare Resin vacuum form canopy need to much work.
