cmatthewbacon
Just picked up the Warbirds Illustrated "British Naval Air Power 1945-present" from a charity shop for £2, and lo and behold, the first picture is this: Now, when I was making my Airfix FR47, I looked pretty hard for alternatives to the high-demarcation Sky/EDSG scheme, and came up dry. But this one appears to be a disruptive pattern on top - look just behind the exhaust stubs and below the pilots head, and you can see a clear demarcation between shades of grey. According to the "bible", PS948 (which is the number, though it's hard to see on this scan) was the first aircraft with powered wing folding, and participated in deck-landing trials on HMS Illustrious, which I guess is what this picture shows. Anyway, it looks like you could make a camo-pattern topsides, low demarcation FR47, at least if you make PS948... bestest, M.

XV107
By way of contrast - from the RAF Museum site, PS948 deck landing in 1947. No idea if this is the same occasion as the photo in the original post, I should add.
