  • Homebee changed the title to 1/48 - Aero HC-2 Heli Baby 3D printed kit by MH Models - test part

Interesting that they've chosen to incorporate the engine into the part. The Helibaby had two different types of engine fitted to it.

This test part has the Praga DH engine  of 85 horsepower that the earlier ones were powered (or underpowered) by.

An improved version, called the HC-102, had an Avia M-110 engine of 117 horsepower.

Hopefully they'll do the HC-102 as well.

This is a fantastic offering.  What I would like to do is buy the file and print myself instead of paying for shipping.  They could ship the decals but that is relatively inexpensive.  Anyway, probably not possible but maybe someday.

That's adorable!!

Assembly instructions HERE show the engine as a separate part so conversion would be simpler unless they are planning the HC-102 later. All things considered it was/is a remarkable achievement for the local aviation industry.

EDIT: Found a pretty good walkround HERE and it is the ONLY Czech designed mass produced helicopter apparently.
