Ma.K. Falke Pkf.85

Recommended Posts

The yellow took me by surprise. It will be very interesting to see the masking removed for the final scheme.

It seems like you are enjoying yourself. I imagine there might be some more kreiger in your future.

And then unmasked.

You’ll now see the very obvious influences I took for the liveries…

Or maybe it was two of the greatest Le Mans winning cars….

Still loads to do. Weathering, decals and all the underneath gubbins. Really enjoying this

Getting closer to the finish for the New Man Falke.

Will probably weather a bit further, with more vertical to represent sitting still.

Quite happy with the rusty exhaust too.

Its been awhile since the cockpit was open, so no idea how the pilot is doing.

The chequered flag 🏁 is in sight, and my Ma.k Falkii are close to completion.

Loads of fun, and the freedom to do whatever.

I settled on the Le Mans inspired paintwork fairly early on. My thinking was in the Maschinen Krieger future, a mechanic found an 800 year old book with photos of ancient race cars and felt a similar inspiration.

They need a suitable base, and then I’ll post a few more photos.

Beautiful models, superb paint, weathering & battle damage. Spruebrothers has quite a few Maschinen Krieger ( now called Ma.K. ) kits available at somewhat reasonable prices. I just picked up 2 1/35 pairs of armored suits on sale. Thanks for posting your build.  👍Cheers, Ruben.

Time to knock up a base. I’d like to see my Falke in flight.

I’d cut a square hole in the centre of the anti-gravity pod.
It was guesswork as to whether that would be a good balance point, and I had added a bit of weight in the nose cones.

Good way to get rid of scrap wood.

Looking quite post-apocalyptic.

Adding some beach sand. Also trying a patch of concrete. Maybe a hardened lava field?
