Steve147
Dear all I remember building this kit as a kid way back in the 60's. Can't remember the kit manufacturer though. I've looked on Tamiya's website (they are only listing Japanese aircraft carriers) and Scalemates, to find out what paints are required, but no luck. Cannot find it on here either. If anyone has built this particular kit, could they let me know the required paints as printed in the instructions. Thanks in advance.

Probably not quite so @Jamie @ Sovereign Hobbies. This description you linked is for a new tool from 2014. The one from 50 years ago is here https://www.super-hobby.com/products/US-Carrier-Saratoga.html Cheers Michael
Our Ned
The Fujimi kit's instructions are imprecise, to say the least: body = U.S. Navy color (grey tinged with blue) bottom = red tinged with black anchor = silver radar = silver (this is the radar on the foremast) mast = flat black searchlight =silver radar = silver (this is the radar on the funnel) smokestack top = flat black deck = tan color deck edge = U.S. Navy color side of cutter = U.S. Navy color inside of cutter = tan color line = white There are also equally imprecise colours given for the aircraft! The OP did say "as printed in the instructions", but I would treat the above instructions with a pinch of salt!
