Slater
I know that Tornado's days are numbered with the RAF and Luftwaffe, but what about Italy and Saudi Arabia? Will they keep the aircraft in service a while longer?

Giorgio N
The Italian Tornado fleet is expected to be retired in 2025, to be replaced by the F-35A. Of course this plan will depend on how well the F-35 program will run, at the moment however everything seems to be moving according to the latest schedule. At the moment the plan is to retire the aircrafts gradually until the last ones will go in that year
upnorth
Going by what some Luftwaffe Tornado guys have told me when I spoke to them at shows, they aren't expecting the aircraft to go away any time soon and further upgrades are planned for them. One of the pilots told me that with the money Germany has spent in recent years of the Typhoon and A400, that he'd believe Luftwaffe Tornado retirement when he saw it.
