MG to cease production. . . Again

The 480 and the 440/460 model only share mechanical components. All the interior and even a lot of the electrical stuff is bespoke to the 480 model, which was less popular than the 440. So when the dealers started to sell off their old stock a lot of it wasn't suitable to the 480's. There's some real great guys on the continent that have gathered up as much stock as they could to help owners out. They are now looking at alternative parts from other Makes and even possibly getting some stuff remade. Hopefully it's the start of a good supply chain as insurers will write them off even for bumper damage because of lack of parts. A lot of people have stripped there cars down because they can make more money selling the parts than what the cars worth. Sad really as there are only 400 or so left on the road in the UK. with a further 600 Sorn :(

After reading that.. What happened to Volvo's lifetime Guarantee? That arrived just about the year when the 480 did.
